NLA HW55 Tyrolean

This is a very nice example of an HW55T. It has a smooth shot cycle and is shooting
8.2 gr Meisterkugeln over 600 fps.

The metalwork is excellent with the exception of a scuff mark on the barrel (picture with the dime in it).

The stock is about average for its age. There is some fading of the finish under the forestock.
Looking carefully at the right side toward the rear of the stock you’ll see they used some wood filler. Purely cosmetic
but I don’t want a buyer to be surprised.

It’s a very fine rifle to look at and to shoot.

Includes the target sight shown.

A new fun gun

Today I received this B5 1 .22 thanks Tom #tkerrigan 👍
took it out of the stock. cleaned barrel. cleaned up the mainspring as best I could without tearing it down. moly on both ends of spring. lubed all the moving parts. I did put 2 drops of chamber oil in the port. let it sit in the hot sun all day. Someday a full tune but fun for now.

I was only able to shoot it about 15 times at tin cans 20 yard just to test it. missing once. I have not tested fps but sure it's above 500. It is accurate little carbine, probably do to the fixed barrel. The open sights I had a hard to get a good sight picture. A compact scope or red dot hum. The trigger is heavy but breaks clean.

This is going to be one fun little rifle.

My one bitch about my sidelever guns. Most of us are right handed. Put the cocking lever on the left. It would make it easier to load while still holding the lever " I ain't trustin no anti bear trap" I've learned to load left.

Predator Polymags really work (graphic)

What can I say? I read the glowing reviews, and heard the hype. So I needed to try some for myself.

The top of my shed is a rat highway. I set up my Wyze cam and HF ding Dong to alert me to them.

This morning at 03:00 a.m. I received the alert and grabbed my 0.25 Talon SS. Loaded a Predator Polymag and WHACK!

The force of the pellet hitting him back flipped him. Reviewing the carnage shows you the damage. WOW. I am, now a believer.

Long barrels are better?

What are some of the benefits of having a long barrel besides making more power? Let's use barrel lengths over 26" as examples. I bring this up as a topic as to me it's strange that manufacturers would not be putting more effort into shortening barrels to make them a bit more "harmonically friendly"?? Are longer barrels somehow more accurate than shorter barrels, or is it more of a fact without them they simply cannot make power to shoot slugs effectively nor efficiently?

What 100y accuracy is needed to be competitive?

Just curious on your thoughts here. Everyone has different benchmarking and expectations.

It seems most new high end air rifles shoot pretty dang well out of the box.
Most of my rifles after tuning & pellet sorting will do about 1.5" at 100y.
Sometimes better, but I have none that will do MoA (1") on average at 100y.
My accurate rifles will do MoA at 50y consistently.

I'm talking pellets only here...no need to get into a slug discussion.

What average group size at 100y would YOU require before getting on a plane to shoot EBR or RMAC?

Thanks for weighing in!

NLA RTI Prophet Performance .22 LR

Just shot a perfect 200 with this rifle in the 30 yard challenge A few days ago. It’s a tack driver but some rifles have to go so I’m just thinning out the heard a bit. I bought this new several months ago From Talon Tunes. It’s a VERY accurate shooter using JSB 25.4 MRDs. Holds air forever. Reg is newer style and does NOT creep. Awesome trigger. The silver bar in the rear is a solid aluminum bag rider I made and it works great. It’s held on by a 1/4 - 20 bolt. Comes with manual, 2 mags and hard case.

I’ve sold lots of stuff here so feel free to search my history and buy with confidence. This is only for sale here on the AGN and If you see this for sale elsewhere, it’s a scam. Sorry, but I’m not looking for any trades. $1250 insured and shipped to your door in the continental US. PayPal F&F or add 3.5% to cover fees.

Excellent condition, less the cosmetic marks on the tube. Which I assume are from installing the rail after the tube?

Left to Right shift based on distance

I have three PCP, Brocock Bantam (.25 cal, unregulated), Brocock Sniper XR (.25 Cal) and Daystate Redwolf (.22 HP). The Bantam I have maybe a 150 pellets through it - not enough to really get to "know" her. The Sniper, I just got her, so maybe 100 pellets (1 was dedicated to dispatching a rat :) Full Disclosure - 2 where shot at the rat), and my Redwolf less than 100.
I seem to notice shooting the Sniper and Bantam that the POI shifts. Example: The Sniper last weekend, I zero'd at 50 yards. 10 shots all in 1". Yes, I need to work on my shooting skills. When I was shooting at 25 yard, the POI was slightly to the left of the target and at 75 yards it was slightly to the right. Little to no wind, 72ºF, sunny.

Am I nuts? I'll take them out this weekend and shoot the above and get actual measurement's.
If it continues to happen, what are the fixes? I get that there will be a POI with distance in the Z axis, but in the X Axis?

Glad I live way out in the country

Hello everyone,

A big advantage of living way out in the country is that I have a lot of neighbors that have great big wood barns. All of theses barns have huge barn doors and I can ask very nicely if they mind if I come over and try to hit one of the doors 🙄 .

I shot a whole bunch of paper targets this morning and for whatever reason was way off the mark....could not shoot a barn door....so to speak . For the last couple of weeks I have been stacking one pellet right on top of another and scoring a lot of 10's. Today I wanted to give myself a high-five when I shot a 9 🤩.

Have any of you fellows ever had a day like that?

Problems tuning impact with donnyfl koi *Solved*

Just got my brand new donnyfl koi mounted on my impact mk1 25 cal but cant get any good groups, its really bad.
Im not complaining about the silencer im sure its me thats missing something when i try to tune the gun.
Im shooting with jsb heavy mk2 875 fps and target only 110 feet away 5 shot groups spreading about 2.5 inch.
I tryed many settings from 860 - 910 fps but nothing seems to help. after every setting i shoot 1 mag ( 16 shots) before making new adjustment.

Can anyone please help me figure this out because i really like both the look on my gun with the donny and that its much quieter .

Sorry for the wrong spellings - :)

airguns-us.com looks like a fake website

I was looking to buy air gun stuff, and this place has everything slightly cheaper than everywhere, and some are listed as $0. Also, some links take you to pyramydair.com instead. Also their social links take you to the website's registration page instead. It all seems, fishy.

FX Halo Ammunition - Say Goodbye To Pellets

The pellet has provided accuracy and efficiency; the staple projectile of choice of airguns for the last century… until now. Introducing the latest innovation from FX Airguns: FX Halo Ammunition. The replacement for the airgun pellet.

FX Halos share the best characteristics of the pellet (high accuracy, low working pressures needed to shoot at optimum speeds) but with nearly double the ballistic coefficient making them more accurate than pellets.

AGN3.jpg

The FX Halo was conceived in the mind of Fredrik Axelsson. He knew that the pellet was going to quickly fade in relevance. Modern PCP Airguns simply don’t need the parachute/shuttlecock shape of the pellet to achieve accuracy anymore. The pellet design also limits the ability to shoot at further distances with an airgun, and shooters desire to stretch their rifles out to further distances with extreme precision.

Fredrik perfected the FX Halo with the help of the famed FX South African R&D team (Matt Dubber, Hein Fromann, Roelf Vorster) as well as renowned tooling engineer and die manufacturer Kenith Almeida. The combination of these minds working together has created an airgun ammunition that will replace pellets and give an easy ammunition for air rifles to shoot accurately. Perfect for the shooter that wants the performance of slugs but at pellet settings and tuning.

AGN2.jpg

Halos will come in the standard weights of the most popular pellets for each caliber. They shoot at more or less the same speeds to match the velocity and efficiency of rifles tuned for common pellets, but with a much higher BC. This creates extreme stability in flight to provide enhanced accuracy.

Expect that the FX Halo Ammunition will replace your pellets as the common round used for everything from pest control, small game hunting, target shooting, and backyard plinking. The future of airgun ammo is FX Halo Ammunition. FX Halos are coming soon. More details to follow.
