I wanted to try something different as I have owned almost every FX gun offered and currently own 4 Impacts. The Cricket Mini Carbine was the only gun I considered worthy of joining the family. I really wanted this gun in .177 but it's only available in .22 from Kalibrgun. I bought it within minutes of it's listing a week ago as I knew it would go quickly. Purchased this from Charlie @ Georgia Airguns in January 2021. I bought if a few months ago, but have not used it enough to warrant keeping it. It's a sweet little rifle and one of the most accurate I've ever had, but there is a lot of overlap with this and my Taipan Veteran. There are couple of minor scratches on the gun. I've tried to show these in the pics below. The photos make these look much worse than they are--IMO.
It's currently setup for JSB 16s. I just finished shooting a 1/2" group at 50 yards--which is great shooting for me (photo below).

Reason for selling : Sold the gun it was on .

For sale is a .30 cal 700mm smooth twist x complete barrel and liner that I bought for my gen 1 Impact. It is in excellent shape with typical wear from being removed and installed. That being said, this barrel has less than 10 tins of pellets through it. The complete barrel also comes with the original FX .30 cal magazine, most of a tin of Polymags, and two mostly full tins of JSB exact 44.75 grain pellets. I have shot sub minute groups at 100 yards with this barrel regularly. Make me a reasonable offer. I will only ship to the U.S.

First time out with the Impact Compact .177 helping out a local farmer. First rat shot was an instant expire, the second one rolled over behind the cinder blocks. About 50% of the ones I hit rolled right over, the other 50% got that little burst of adrenaline and made it about 5-10 feet then keeled over. I am going to try and show as accurate to real life pesting content as I can when posting pesting videos, not just the "PRIMO" "BEAUTY SHOTS" . Some friends you can go months without seeing and hearing from - then on a whim you drop down the range table and sit with them a spell. My two Steyr’s buddies are like that, a hunting 5 SA and a Pro X 10 SA. The conversation starts simple with weather, wind and rain and choices we've made. Seems like we always address our health issues created by the stress of sitting for so long; but once all that nonsense is out of the way, we start drinking lead from a .22 tin mug. We always start with a big ol fib, a tall tail, like a monster big splatter target pasted to some corrugated board; we know we can't miss, no matter how many time we tell the story it's a good reminder of where we left off. I don’t always trust ol eyes or fingers that itch to remember where the sweet spot is in life, especially through a small window. Once we’ve established we can still see and refrain from jerking around too much, we move on to progressively demanding types of conversations like pill bottles, beer caps and match heads. At some point we pull out the playing cards just to see if we still know what an Ace looks like. At times there is awkward silence after some off target comment, like a flyer coming out of left field - WTH. In the end, when all topics have been completely hit upon and we've pushed the issues of civility farther than we should have, we begin the customary faretheewells and clean up the air gunner crumbs. Always a pleasure to give ol friends a good rubbing, especially if they can stay on topic and i remember not to go against their grain too much. Now remind me, what was it we were talking about?

I realized today that there is a ton of things available to the impact to make the impact more suit our shooting style. Like making the impact lighter easier to carry, less impact, and quiet for pest control, larger bottles, smaller bottles, more for bench rest, shooting paper, or another way for hunting larger game.

I would think by now, with the airgun knowledge out there it would be as easy to go online to utahairguns.com, pyramydair.com, or whatever to get a custom fitted Lothar Walther, CZ, TJ or whatever for a impact just like we can get a impact barrel in whatever caliber, length, and type of shooting we do. Right? Says me who has no clue as to what is involved in doing something like this.

By first time I shot to one of your targets.

What I noticed is that it is very difficult to try to center the reticle in the circle.

I would sugest you to include a cross in the center of the circle. That would allow to have a better reference for knowing where to aim.

I am sure that that visible cross would imply better puntuations keeping the same size of target.

The idea is an hybrid of my target and yours:

Solid solid solid! Mounted a Blackhound on top with good magnification and I am really enjoying the accuracy and performance of the entire platform. Coyotes better find a new hood to roam. The muzzel report is a bit loud for my backyard but a Donnyfl should tame the crack.

I won't go into detail(s) about how I managed to literally RIP the scope base screws right out of the threaded holes in the alloy top-strap of my customized Smith & Wesson 78G, other than stating ape-level strength combined with moron-level intelligence is a bad combination. My first "thought" was I'd completely destroyed the fantastic customized classic.

An early, adjustable trigger variant in excellent condition, I've invested no small amount of time and frustration in not only attaching the scope base, but machining a (slightly longer) replacement barrel for the original barrel that, for who knows why or how, was completely devoid of any rifling whatsoever.

Thankfully the top-strap suffered no damage other than the stripped threads. And thankfully this kind of BONE-HEAD move is why God invented Helicoil thread repair kits... (through a surrogate, of course). And in yet another happy coincidence, thankfully I uncovered the correct Helicoil kit in my mountains of hoarded junk.

Correction- The correct Helicoil kit was located in its proper place among my meticulously inventoried, catalogued, and arranged inventory of gunsmithing parts, tools, and equipment... Right next to File 13.

The aluminum top-strap tapped beautifully to receive the stainless-steel threaded inserts, resulting in a vast improvement over the pre-APEd threaded holes. Re-installation of the mount and scope went just as well.



Despite gale-force gusting winds, of course I couldn't wait to sight her back in. That also went better than could be expected in such improbable conditions. Five consecutive three-shot groups at 25 yards averaged 1.44" c-t-c; the best measured just .60". Not quite as good accuracy as she usually achieves, but entirely forgivable given the hideous winds.

She's back; better than ever!

I know there is probably not a one size fits all answer for this but is there a general rule of thumb for velocity gain per psi increase on regulated guns? FWIW I'm working with a huma regulator and 25 caliber marauder.
