PCP Rifle  SOLD Seneca Sumatra Carbine .25

Selling a beautiful and increasingly rare Seneca Sumatra carbine in .25. Comes with 6 rotary metal magazines. Has a dent on the butt but is otherwise in excellent condition. No leaks. Shockingly powerful.

Asking $750 shipped CONUS. Zelle preferred. Snatch this one up quick before I get cold feet and unlist it again.

Improvements to my homemade Rifle Rest

Hello everyone,

I made a couple of nice improvements to the Rifle Rest that I made last year. For the front and rear “Yokes” that cradle the rifle, I originally used some 3/8" stainless round rod bent to shape. I slipped some soft plastic tubing over to rods to secure and protect the rifle.

Today I used some 1-1/4" wide stainless flat bar bent to shape to replace the rod giving a lot more surface for support and securing. After welding the flat bar to the mounting plate or rod I applied three coats of liquid rubber to protect the rifle.

Last photo shows a rifle on the Rest and with this improved rubber surface area to “grip”, it is like the gun is glued in place. There is almost no movement of the rifle even when I cock it. I shot some paper targets this morning and this thing is rock solid.

Hullo

Couldn’t spot an “introduce yourself” forum so here I am 👋

Uk shooter (brief stint state side) , shot sub12 for 25 years, powder burners (properly) for 10 and just getting into FAC air to move away from rimfire.

Stumbled on here as I have a new FX Panthera 700 in .25, which obviously has a slow leak from the get go (have read all the threads!) , and you guys seem to be very familiar with the high power versions!

Looking forward to getting it going (have rebuilt a .177 sub12 panthera recently) and have some nice 49.5gn and 60gn altaros waiting to go

*edit* just for clarity I am just saying hello! (The forum has already answered my questions ☺️ )

RTI  RTI valves: Traditional and Assisted?

I've been shooting and enjoying a (borrowed) P-3 for a little while now. Enough that I'm leaning towards picking one up up in the near future.

I've had one issue though (aside from that butt pad that barely attaches). There's a pinging/ringing sound that I haven't heard with other PCPs. It's not loud enough to scare small game, and it's not even loud enough to care about when the rifle is fired from arms length. When I fire the gun from a normal shooting position, with my ear close to the block, it feels quite loud -- especially after an hour of shooting targets.

  1. Do you have a P-3? is this normal for the gun?
  2. If it's normal, is this a just "thing" for guns with balanced/assisted valves? (asking because i've seen similar comments about the uragan 2's balanced valve)
  3. Is the valve of the prophet 1 quieter? (if i'm not mistaken, that was RTI's last gun with a traditional valve before switching to the assisted valve in the p2)

I appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!

FX  FX Impact M3

Just puttin along with my M3. Late to the party as I only recently purchased it a few months back. I did own one of the first versions when AOA was selling them finally sold that one to try something new, anyhow I have my new one (.22 600mm) tuned for 18gr. JSBs average 916fps. Typical 1/2inch or under very consistent groups and almost silent with FX factory moderator. I haven't added or modified any parts just a few adjustments and getting (7 mags) 196 shots on a 250 bar fill without going below the reg (70) bar. I am very happy with this gun.

Brocock/BRK  Best pellet I've tested so far in my Brocock/Brk Atomic XR .22

So I've spent about two weeks testing all kinds of pellets over my chronograph and at 50 yards from my backyard with my Atomic XR and 22 caliber.

JTS 16.08g pellet: At about 721 fps. I got the most fpe and accuracy in my Brocock/Brk Atomic XR. I get another 1 or so fpe and 20 fps out of it than H&N Baracuda 15 which is 15.89g They (JTS) seem a little cleaner than the H&N Baracuda 15 and usually with no skirt damage/deformation as I sometimes see with H&N Baracuda 15.

Brocock/BRK  I am so impressed with my Brocock/Brk Atomic that I just bought a Brocock/Brk Commander XR in .22

I am/was so impressed with my Brocock/Brk Atomic in .22 that I just bought a Brocock/Brk Commander XR in .22 from Central Florida Airguns (Jon Voss). I did get the micro hammer adjuster and the pass through for the folding stock adapter.

Pellet suggestions and maybe even light slug suggestions? I only shoot past 50 yards for testing, my eyes are not as good as they once were. (76 years old). Agent Orange has taken their toll of that and many other things.

Comments, tips and suggestions solicited. I shoot at 50y every day in my backyard.

I'm in CT USA

PCP Rifle  SOLD .25 Taipan Vet Standard 1 $875 shipped

Not mine but a friends, he's getting rid of it since he's upgrading to a bottle gun. It has a small nick on left side (see picture).

It comes with 2 mags, an aftermarket side lever extender and aftermarket mag holders. Shoots the Hunter Extremes, hades and the 25gr jsb very well, he hasn't tried other pellets.

Theoben  A Lazy Day Out With the Theobens

It was too hot and sticky for the outdoor range today but I wanted to play with the girls. I called up Ed and we decided some indoor bench in the AC was in order.

1000001487.jpg

Top to bottom:
Theoben Evolution .22
Beeman Crow Magnum .20
Theoben Sirocco .177

They all shot great except for the Crow Mag because my dumb*** grabbed 13gr .22 pellets instead of 13gr .20 from off the shelf. With all the attention to detail Theoben put into their products youd think the end user could at least read the tin before setting off for the club.

I started the day with the Evolution. This is my favorite. It sounds absolutely amazing, is super easy to cock, and the shot cycle is gentle as could be despite being 13ftlbs.

1000001490.jpg
1000001492.jpg

Next up was the Sirocco. I forget where I have this one set but I believe somewhere around 13.5ftlbs if memory serves. She's snappy but still shoots great. I love the lines in the wood too. There's just something about shooting pretty guns that just adds to the experience.

1000001493.jpg

I'm still a little disappointed that I didn't get to play with the Crow Mag. Of the bunch it is easily the most accurate despite putting out 24ftlbs with the JSB 13.4gr pellets. My arm would have been sore after 30+ shots at the 25m bench targets but it would have been worth it. Next time!

250 vs. 300 Bar Bottles

General Question to all of you out there. Has anyone actually counted to see how many more shots you get with a 300 bar bottle vs. the standard 250 bar bottle? I read where people say you will get 50% or 85% more shots, but can't find where someone has actually posted what they went from and to between the two bottles. Interested in what the counts were for 480cc and 300cc bottles.

PCP Rifle  WTS Dick Strever's Airgun collection for Sale. $50000.00 OBO

So my Father, Dick Strever was a avid pcp bench rest shooter. He was good, knowledgeable and precise. He shot up in Southern OR, Grants Pass area, sometimes in Ashland.
Then decided to build his own benchrest range here on Coase of CALI/OR border.

He passed almost a year ago. My Mother wants to sell it. I basically have everything you would need to start your very own Airgun store. Rifles, Pistols, ammo < pellets . 177 .22 .25 and some Big bore ammo. Most of these rifles are designed for benchrest. He tried FT but settled on BR shooting. He built his guns to shoot 750's. I wanna say he averaged 745 n higher on most days. He did all the counting, measuring, weighing every pellet. Cases upon cases. He made his own Flags, Basically i have Rifles, Pistols < although not many, and not for shooting from looks of them> I have pellets, Scopes, o-rings, Vintage rifles, custom, Bench rests, FT sitting bags,

Pics im gonna show are just the Bulk of it. For those truely serious about buying this collection, i will explain more and send detail pics of everything. I will even consider Delivering them myself if price is right. < really dont wanna try to package n ship this. < have to rent a truck its that large >

I have Steyr, Air Arms, FX rifles, Theoben, Benjamin Marauders, Vintage, Antiques, custom, stock.

I want to try selling it as a lot. If i get no serious offers, i will then start listing each and every item individually.
and here we go.

I will be asking 50000.00 OBO for this collection.

Epic  My Epic "TWO" adventure

I bought an Epic Two and got a 300mm compact in .22 cal. for back yard fun. Was a little loud so whipped up a moderator. Shoots 18.1 gr JSB prettey good at 910 fps. But I like to fiddle so I took it apart to see what makes it tick. Really impressed with the build quality and hats off to the design. The trigger is a great design but seems the sears are made of some kind of hardend powdered metal that has a rough texture. It could be smoother so I'll hone and adjust it a little, easy fix. So next up I picked up a CZ 457 24" rimfire barrel on ebay for $90. I have a CZ 457 and know the barrel is a super tight rimfire barrel. The bore is .212 and the groove is .220 with a 1:16 twist. Going to try it for pellets before I swage some custom slugs. I fit the barrel and velocity went up to just under 1100 fps with the 18.1 gr and 950 with the 25.4 JSB. Now I need to hush this monster down. My ears are still ringing!
