Traditional Rifle  WTS Baikal MP-513M .177 Cal - $320 Shipped

Rare Russian made Baikal MP-513M .177 cal rifle for sale. The rifle is in excellent shape. The metal work is immaculate and has a unique textured black parkerized type finish to it. The stock is in great shape with only a few small handling and compression marks. Hammer type safety operates as intended. The rifle functions great and shoots hard. Given naughty Putin's antics, its very doubtful we'll ever see these being imported again.

Traditional Rifle  SOLD Feinwerkbau 300

I have 3 of these rifles in different forms, 2 being lefties that I will never sell, but I do have this beautiful righty that I have decided to let go, this rifle is in gorgeous condition! I'd say 98% wood and metal. It shoots fine, however the breech seal is dried up and starting to crumble, so would need a new one. I'm asking $550 shipped conus. I beleive that's a very fair number for this rifle in such nice condition.

N/A  Hawke Vantage

I shoot .177 break barrels, both spring and pistons. Most range from 12 to 14 FP's.

I have recently trashed three Hawke Vantage 3 x 9 x 40 A/O scopes with maybe 200 shots. I returned them and they were replaced at no charge.

Still, it is a lot of wasted time.

Is it my bad luck, or is this to be expected?

No one ever warns about that. Pyramid says they are air gun rated.

What is a guy to do?

DYI Fill Station

I have a ½ Liter, 300 BAR Aluminum Bottle from an old Gauntlet I no longer have and was wondering if it could be made into a small fill station for use with my Notos and Jet airguns?

IMG_5017.jpg

It has an inline regulator that is currently set at 2200 psi. Can the Belleville washers or spring (I don't recall which is installed) be removed so the the pressure leaving is the same as in the tank?

IMG_5018.jpg

I have a Ninja Valve that is rated to 4500 psi, a short fill whip and an AliExpress knock off Eazy Fill I can attach to it that will bleed off pressure after filling the gun. I'm just curious if I can adapt this to that purpose, or do I need a different part to replace the regulator? Thanks for the help.

Airgun Technologies  Uragan 2 600 vs 700mm .22 cal

Hello all,

I'm about to buy a Uragan .22 cal but I cannot decide in what barrel lenght. I will mostly use it for max 25 grain slugs, I can't go heavier in my backyard because of safety.

I see that the 700mm out of the box comes kinda tuned for the 25 grain slugs, but im not so sure about the total lenght of it.

Will the 600 be enough for that and still be backyard friendly? Or does the 600 needs a moderator to calm it down?

PCP Rifle  SOLD Gamo springer

I have 3 spring rifles I never shoot. Two are 177 crossman f4 and one is a 22caliber gamo swarm maximum g2. Right after I got this one I got a pcp,so they have not been shoot since. I test fired each before listing them with pellets and all fired fine. This is a package deal. I want 125$ for them all. You'll pay the shipping also. The gamo cost nearly 250$ itself and looks new. Or I'd trade the for something also. ,but it'd need to be at least worth 125 bucks. I can bubble wrap, and ship all three together for 65 bucks, any thing over that in shipping I'll cover, but doubt it's gonna cost that much.

Beeman  Beeman HW30 Value

I have a Beeman HW30, 20 caliber that I purchased new in 1993. I am considering selling it and buying a more powerful springer air rifle, but I am having difficulty finding the value of this rifle. It appears to be different than a model HW30S which has an adjustable trigger and other different features. The original iron sights have been removed and a Beeman scope added. Can someone give me a fair selling price to set on this rifle?Beeman Air Rifle.JPG

Results  Ultimate Field Target @ PRGC-November 2024 Match Results

Screenshot_20241124-000739.png

Ben and Phoenix Rod and Gun club hosted an Ultimate Field Target match this morning, and it was the first of the new format. This new format is exciting to me, for various reasons. One of which is that it makes it possible to come play and have fun and compete with a much broader range of airguns. And THAT has the possibility of allowing many more people to come enjoy the addicting nature of field target.

The biggest change in course format was that Ben added a third target to each lane, resulting in a near, middle, and far target.
Anybody that is under 50fpe can shoot at the nearest lane, as well as middle and far. If you're past 50fpe, only the middle and far targets can be shot. And if you're only 20fpe, you can opt to shoot at the near and middle, and not the far target. Or if you REALLY want a challenge, a 20fpe gun could be used to shoot the Full Monty.

So here's the course layout, including Troyer factors...
Troyer.jpg

To aid in helping shooters interact at the correct targets for their chosen classes, Ben had the score cards, lane markers, and even the kill zones of near and middle lanes color coded. (Color coding the far lane is the next step, he simply ran out of time.)
So here's a sample of the score cards....
Screenshot_20241123-234742.pngScreenshot_20241123-234733.pngScreenshot_20241123-234722.png

And the lane markers.....
Screenshot_20241123-234632.png

And an example of the color coding on the face plate.....
Screenshot_20241123-234652.png

A total of 9 shooters made it to the match to compete. Many of the "regulars" had prior commitments and simply couldn't make it today.
Of those 9...
  • 2 chose to shoot with slugs in the "Full Monty," two shots at each of all three targets, for a 72 shot match.
  • 3 of the shooters chose to use pellets for the Full Monty.
  • 1 Long range slugger (middle and far lanes for a48 shot match).
  • 1 Long Range pellet flinger (48 shot match)
  • 2 short range pellet shooters (near and middle lanes for a 48 shot match).
And here is how they did...

From the scores, it sure looks like the course lived up to the "Ultimate" moniker. Many of us are accustomed to seeing the winner of AAFTA type matches here in AZ have zero, 1 or MAYBE 2 misses. So I feel that we're sort of conditioned to think that anything less than a 95% hit rate isn't doing great. Well, I think we're going to have to change our thinking for Ultimate Field Target! Cuz if this month is any indicator, high overall score might be an 80-85% knockdown rate for a UFT match. One cool thing to point out there, is that in an AAFTA type match, it's easy to get down on oneself after missing a shot or two, knowing that you just might be out of the running for high score. BUT, with UFT, it ain't over til the fat lady sings. It's looking like we won't know we won the match til all the scorecards are turned in. SO, on top of changing our thinking about what constitutes a "good score" we may also have to realize not to let a couple misses get into our heads during the match, cuz we might very well still be in the hunt for the top score, even with multiple misses.

I'm pretty excited to get down to Phoenix Rod and Gun club and shoot one of these matches! I've been pondering what gun/projectile to use and still can't settle on one. And that's cuz the new format opens up the possibilities so much that many more of my guns are potentially competitive than have been in the past for long range/ high power field target matches. I also love that it's putting an emphasis back on true airgun-level fpes. I enjoy airguns specifically because of the power levels they put out, for lots of reasons. And I feel a 50FPE cap for the Full Monty will agree with many other airgunners thoughts. UFT is less about, "well I gotta buy a new gun cuz everybody else is shooting the new .30s with BCs better than my .22s." and more about, "you got an airgun?!?!? come shoot that thing at the next UFT match!"

Congrats to the winners!
Thanks to Ben for putting in the work. (He texted me when he left the match site on Thursday night and it was 10:50pm. He puts in a lot of hours towards our enjoyment of airguns. THANK YOU BEN!

For anybody that shot today, please chime in and tell us what you thought. And even if you didn't shoot today, please let us know how you feel about the new format and the possibilities that this opens up.

Also, if you were at the match today, feel free to add any photos you took. I was only sent a few and for whatever reason the Android/Apple mismatch makes them come through really blurry.

GX CS4-I Issue

When I plug in my new CS4-I sometimes nothing happens, the power supply fan doesn’t come on & the compressor doesn’t do anything. If I switch the power supply from 110v to 220v & back to 110v it will then work as normal. Doesn’t happen every time but has happened several times since I got it about 2 weeks ago. im thinking that it’s a power supply issue. I am in contact with GXpump about the problem. Anyone else had this issue with theirs?

Chinese scopes have upped their game in 10 years

Maybe 8 or ten years ago I needed a couple of cheap scopes. I ended up getting 3 Meullers. I had an f class 6.5x284 with a sightron 10x50
then bought a ftr class 308. The competition was using mainly nightforce but I was only dabbling in it. So I bought this 8x32 mueller which is still on the rifle( I sold the f class and sightron and haven’t shot 1000 yards in 6 or 8 years). I was serviceable but it looked like it was made from unfinished tubing you get at Home Depot.

So for only $50 more than that mueller was almost 8 years later I just received a new Athlon heras spr 6x24 sfp ( $300) What an improvement!
Ive had one Swarovski on my elk gun and through life mostly Leupolds. It may not be as finely finished and I haven’t looked through it
but it’s a hell of a lot of scope for the money , discounted of course. Seems rather heavy? I don’t have anything laying around to compare.

Accessories  SOLD FX Crown MKII spacers for CF Barrel Sleeve / Shroud in Yellow

Sorry guys I have been busy with work (have to put food on the table, and this is just a hobby and I am just trying to help out fellow hobbyists when I can).

I have 3d printed FFF on ABS about 15 sets of 7-spoke spacers if people are still interested. The first 16 PMs or so will get a link to purchase, at least until supplies run out. Cost is $30.00 for 3x spacers and 3x o-rings, or $40 for 6x spacers and 6x o-rings, and a flat $10 usps priority mail with tracking to continental U.S. either way. Maximum of 4 sets (12x spacers and 12x o-rings).

To be clear, a set has 3x spacers and 3x o-rings. You can purchase up to four in U.S.

$40 total (cost + shipping) for 1 set
$50 total for 2 sets
$70 total for 3 sets
$90 total for 4 sets

I designed and printed some of these V2 spacers for my FX Crown MKII with CF barrel sleeve after I couldn't get danny5692’s design to print well (edit: This design https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/carbon-sleeve-fx-crown/#post-1164001).

The purpose of these spacers is to center the barrel with the CF barrel sleeve within the FX Crown shroud, which I believe essential. These spacers fit the .177, .22, .25 and .30 CF sleeves, and fit between the FX CF barrel sleeve and the FX crown shroud. The CF barrel sleeve stiffens the barrel, but without spacers, the floating barrel and CF sleeve are not held fixed to the shroud.

Here is a photo of the set of 3 spacers and o-rings (latest 7-spoke design) taken today.

7spokequarter.jpg

These spacers and o-rings come with details on how I used them, with warnings, cautions, etc. Use at your own risk.

Here are some other photos to illustrate the use:

7spokeonCF.jpg

When installing the CF Barrel sleeve on the FX Crown barrel, you may decide to use electrical tape to affix the CF barrel sleeve to the barrel, or use Teflon, or to epoxy it to the barrel. I ultimately decided to use epoxy (Infinity Bond EP 420 High Peel and Shear Strength Epoxy - 25 Minute Open Time) as it is slow curing...I waited a day before I installed the spacers and shroud. You can see some of the epoxy in the above photo.

However, this is a rather permanent solution so you might want to try it with Teflon or electrical tape first.

Below are photos of earlier designs (5 spoke) design

User @jdh2550 made a post here showing his results with the CF sleeve and these spacers: https://www.airgunnation.com/thread...n-mkii-cf-sleeve-spacer.1249356/#post-1258039

Also user @ChRiSiS posted his results at 50 yrds here: https://www.airgunnation.com/thread...n-mkii-cf-sleeve-spacer.1249356/#post-1256316

I haven't done formal testing on my setup but I have taken out some pests. That is a time where I went the "it is self-evident" to improve things route.

FWB  P70 has me stumped.

I have a thread on here somewhere about this P70Jr that belonged to an older FT club member.

I have replaced all seals, rebuilt the regulator and replaced the old cylinder. Gun shoots amazing and is accurate as can be.

My issue is I’m getting a sharp crack of air from the breech block to bolt. If I put my hand over the bolt section I can feel the blast and if I push down firmly on the bolt section I can reduce the sound.

I’m at a loss. The breech and barrel seals are new. Anyone know if there is an adjustment for the bolt tension? The rifle was stored with it closed for roughly 20 years.

EDgun  Is The Edgun Lelya Discontinued?

Hello all,
I have seen several comments about the Edgun Lelya 2 being discontinued. I cannot find any info to confirm this. So does someone know if in fact it is no longer being made/imported or is it just because of the unrest in that part of the world that they are on a pause from being imported?

Thanks
