Spinner shaft dividers/stops?

I need to revamp my spinners. Everything I've tried to attach to the shafts to hold the spinners in place either gets shot away because it's too soft or moves because it's too hard to grip the wire frame. Then the spinners slide into each other. I was wondering what you guys were using to locate/separate your spinners on the shafts of your DIY spinners?

I'm using approximately 1/8-3/16" hard wire frames. The holes in the paddles are probably 1/4-3/8".

I'm using springers so they not getting hit by anything crazy. I'm sure there's a simple solution I haven't thought of yet.

Thanks
Ron

Epic  Epic two

Hello hobby friends. I want to ask if the owners of this rifle have problems with the magazine for projectiles, when reloading while shooting, does their magazine detect? There are already 2 such rifles in Bulgaria with caliber 25, both of them detect the magazines when reloading!!! I cannot accept as normal that such stupidity happens with a rifle at such a price !!! The owners of these rifles are my friends and we go shooting together, I really want to help them with info if I can.

Night Vision VS Thermal for hunting??

I am wanting to expand the arsenal with one of these units. Though can't make a decision on which would be better. Specific units I am looking at are the AGM Rattlers, AGM Neith, and an Arken Zulus. Now I don't have any of these around my area so am sadly unable to look through any of them.

Pros and cons of each... being digital you are able to use both day and night. The Neith has the ability to use your standard optic and thr ability to swap between rifles easily.

Not sure which I would like more for hunting. Right now the days are quite long and shooting isn't an issue. But come winter the sun goes down quick and having the ability to shoot longer would be an advantage.

So what have you guys decided would be best?

PCP Rifle  SOLD Rattler 357 with Extra’s

I have the latest version rattler 357 with 700cc bottle purchase from Fox Air Power about two months ago. I haven’t had much time to shoot it because it’s too loud for my back yard lol. And I don’t want to have a gun sitting around not being used. I’m just checking to see if there is any interest on agn. It has a K&L butt hook $179.00 I believe. Plus a B&T AccuShot monopod that can be folded under to act as an awesome bag rider. The gun is basically perfect because it really hasn’t had any use.
I’m asking $2650.00 with all the extra’s and you pay shipping. I paid $2700.00. Please no trades offers. I have several previous deals on agn. PayPal F&F or you pay the extra fee.

"Immersive" Prism Scopes

Any of the brands/rebadges. I've been on the fence about trying one for awhile, but have always had some reservations. These have been making the rounds for a few years now at least. The reviewers will speak to how great they are. Game changers they say. However, you almost never see them being used in practical shooting or hunting videos. For the most part the only videos they appear in are the videos advertising them. Not trying to be negative, that's just my observation, and I'm sure there are some exceptions.

So I'm curious if anyone here has actually had an Immersive scope become their new primary optic. What are your thoughts if you've actually been fielding one for awhile?

HW/Weihrauch  HW77

I’ve got time on my hands. If I can’t work on yard I’m shooting. This is my possy this morning.
IMG_8903.jpeg
Started off with “Greeny” named after Peter Green’s guitar, originator of Fleetwood Mac.
IMG_8904.jpeg
This gun almost shots like his guitar playing. My bells took a beating.
Another long barrel .22 cal.
IMG_8905.jpeg
This gun never disappoint. Do your part, it does its best always.
This 77 is my newest buy and oldest 77.
A Venum tuned beast. I haven’t spent enough time with it. I think it might be pellet picky.
IMG_8908.jpeg
Nice gun to squeeze. So smooth.
‘Now best for last. A HW77k .25.
IMG_8909.jpeg
I’m so addicted to this rifle. I named it Dadzi which is what I called my grandfathers (Polish). It’s the wise rifle. It should be imprinted in Gormans theatre sidewalk in Hollywood. Takes the scenic route to its target, but so reliable. Big bonus most the time you can watch the shot. My 97 .25 same deal. I know it’s against the grain of most, but it’s calculating.
The missing link a HW77 .20 is on order now at AoA. Really enjoy the 77’s especially with a better eye.
Let’s see some pics of your 77’s. Crow

Group shape

I am new to PCP airgun shooting, but have an interesting thought that translates from powder burner reloading and tuning. From what I've noticed just shooting the one PCP I have, you have control over a few things to make the gun shoot like you want. Regulator pressure, hammer spring tension, and pellet selection.

This thread will focus on pellet selection and group shape. These rifles are extremely accurate and consistent and seem to shoot pellets very well. Some pellets shoot great. Stealing from Jack Neary's (HOF benchrest shooter) assessment of group shape indicating what you need to do in regards to powder and seating depth can help determine what's going on with an air rifle if used in the same capacity.

So without messing with the regulator or hammer spring and just testing a lot of different pellets and weights, I think you find a lot that shoot well, but the interesting thing to evaluate would be group shape. Size matters 😎 but shape can give insight as to what is going on harmonically with your barrel. Horizontal, vertical, oval/round circle (optimal), diagonal (worst), double grouping; they all indicate what your barrel is telling you it wants.

Obviously you would have to shoot very well to notice the difference in group size and shape, but does anyone have any anecdotal experience with this? Does your best shooting pellet group well and have a round shape to it? Have you tested pellets that group ok but the dispersion is horizontal, vertical, or diagonal? I'm interested to hear everyone's thoughts.

Gripes about airgun supply co.s

I'm going not to mention the negatives by name. I am not understanding how long it takes you to ship from order. 24hrs to process, OK fine. In that time upon payment received for guns, fill it with air, make sure it fires, and holds air overnight while "processing". I'm not too stoked when I drop $2000 on a gun and it takes 5-6 days to ship when I didn't order any servicing. What is getting even more irritating is ordering pellets or slugs and not a massive quantity
..then checking tracking every day only for it to ship a full week after the order. I purposely order Sunday-Tuesday to hopefully get them Friday. Unacceptable. Huma air, and the Pelletshop are top tier, the day of order I get shipping information. Few weeks ago I ordered the bottle conversion for dreamline and a huma reg...instantly shipped day of order received in 4 days... FROM THE NETHERLANDS. Yet I order ammo and a bottle from Two distributors from the western region of the US. One more southern one a little more north. 6 days and 8 days. Most of the time "processing, shipping label printed" once again I order a few hundred slugs the 14th...11:51am EST. It just arrived to Atlanta 12:23 today, delivered tomorrow the 24th. It didn't ship until the 20th. What pray tell was my IN STOCK order doing for 5 days before shipping?

Or another provider in Florida. The shipping information was correct. I saw on usps tracking "returned to sender, insufficient address" I called the provider, spoke man to man, this was the last day of May. Ive emailed 3 times since. No refund, no pellets.

I purposely ordered $50-$250 orders all at the same time using priority ground to ups worldwide saver From all the major airgun cos other than pyramyd/airgun depot. Edit: same time, same day. To test delivery times and processing speeds.

The ones who impressed are the ones who will continue to receive my business weekly.

Thepelletshop.com
Huma-Air
Krale
New England Airguns.

So far that is all. I spend good money, I don't expect to let someone hold my money and maybe provide the service I paid for sometime later in time when they feel like it.

I run a business with my father and sister. I know how it is. We have over 1000 clients to our agency alone. There is always a queue of people to contact and services to render. If I waited days to even begin they'd call me with angry words and WALK never to return. When something doesn't work immediately or in a timely manner I contact them and let them know exactly why and what to expect. Ridiculous. Maybe my expectations are way too high. But, damn. Just damn.

I've adjusted this PP 700 for a light, crisp trigger action, and high shot-counts per charge. In last nights chronographing it returned 51 shots on a 215 BAR fill with 14.3 grain pellets at 615 FPS and 12 foot pounds. No problems or issues, and she holds pressure indefinitely.

Taipan  Well well... it does like pellets....

I took my Taipan tactical out to the range for some 100 yard shooting. Remembered that a bought some AEA pellets and thought well shoot 10 forget about it. Well to my surprise this slug gun loves the AEA 25.3 25 cal. Shooting them very hot I know over 1000fps but still for some reason those pellets like shooting fast. 5 shot group at a 100 yards....wind was 5-10 mph....

  • Question
N/A  Do any PCP rifles have a bleed valve on the plenum to relieve excess pressure?

Are there any PCP rifles that come with a plenum bleed valve (knob or whatever) that would allow the shooter to bleed off excess plenum pressure for those times when the plenum pressure is above the reg setting?

You guys know how the plenum pressure goes up when the ambient temperature goes up -- like you take a shot when it's 60 degrees F and a few hours later you want to take a shot, but the plenum pressure is above your set regulator pressure because the outside temp is now 75 degrees F and the sun came out. You know your shot is going to be low FPS because of the high plenum pressure. So what do you do? If there was a bleed valve on the plenum, you could let a small amount of air out of the plenum and let the regulator bring the plenum pressure back up to normal and then take the shot.

So back to the main question -- are there any PCP rifles that come with a plenum bleed valve?

Moderators on Benchrest Rifles

I see a lot of guys running moderators on their benchrest rifles, so I decided to give them a try on my RAW 25 cal. After trying 4 different moderators I have come to the conclusion that a moderator does not belong on my RAW if I want it to shoot like it should. All of the ones I tried either caused flyers, POI shift or in one case a big jump in FPS. I fought for the better part of a month trying to get my rifle to group at 50 yards and finally decided to start over with pellet and tuner testing without any moderator. Right off the bat everything started grouping better and with some tuning I am sure I will get back to where the rifle should be shooting. I am just curious if others have had this same experience?

N/A  Summer Solstice Range Time, HW97K and Walther LGU

Enjoying some time at the range this afternoon- calm and lightly raining. Targets shot at 50 yards, 10 shot groups (mostly). The HW97K is a .20 and is new. I have had the LGU for several years and is .177. A few of the groups can almost hide beneath a US quarter. Those groups make me happy.
