First time posting on this Forum. I currently own a MK1 FX Impact purchased February 2018. Seems I got one of the last batches before they released the FX Impact Smooth Twist X and eventually the MII's. I am considering selling my MK1 and buying a M3, however upgrading this one is not out of the question.

Anyone have any advice on resale value on the MK1? or advise on simple upgrades I can perform to bring it close to M3 Spec.

Since the .35 Cal FX Impact was released, anticipation for a barrel tailored to slug shooting has been highly desired. The long awaited .35 Cal STX Heavy liner as well as the perfectly paired .35 Cal FX Hybrid have arrived for those yearning to shoot .35 caliber slugs from their Impact.



Larger caliber slug shooting has until this point often been associated with subpar precision at standard distances like 100 yards. Shooters have had to be okay with groups as large as 2-3”, with assurances that a larger kill zone on game makes the loose precision acceptable. FX Airguns does not accept these standards. All calibers should be able to produce 1” groups at 100 yards and shoot at speeds that allow a flat trajectory that help accomplish this precision. This is particularly true when you pair the new FX STX .35 Heavy Liner with the new .35 Cal FX Hybrid Slug. (These were the same slugs many shooters were using at this years RMAC Big Bore Slug challenge consistently hitting targets out to 300 yards!!)



Extensive R&D and testing has taken place to ensure the accuracy and precision you expect from an FX Airgun in this new .35 caliber heavy liner. The FX .35 Cal Hybrid Slugs work particularly well with this new heavy liner and are available on the market. The liner can be purchased separately and added to any existing .35 Cal Impact.



This testing has also resulted in a new brass inlet on all .35 Cal barrels that will allow for even better accuracy for the .35 liner as compared to the previous design. This new design allows the slug or pellet to seat better in the rifling of the barrel. Note that the new barrel inlet only works with the updated FX Rear Power Block. (All .35 Cal FX Impacts now have the Rear Power Block and this updated inlet. Older rifles can be updated, see your local FX dealer or FX importer for more information.)



The STX .35 Cal Heavy Liner comes standard as part of the new .35 Cal Tensioned Barrel Kit. These barrels are available in either 700mm or 800mm. The tensioned outer carbon fiber sleeve provides rigidity that is perfectly suited to the additional energy and vibrations created by slugs. From a barrel harmonics standpoint, the tensioner system reduces the amplitude of barrel movement which results in better accuracy and more consistency. This aids both slug and pellet shooting particularly at the 800mm length.

I have had a Maverick for about a month. 700mm sniper in .30. It has had quite a few issues with POI shift and just minor things. Screw fell out of the cocking mechanism and had to send it back to get it set in the correct spot again. Barrel liner was stuck and had to send it back in order to have it where the liner can be removed at home. That being said when it has been shooting well it has been an absolutely amazing to me. My last 14 5 shot groups at 47 yards averaged .26 inch CTC. I’m always a bit nervous to shoot it thought just waiting for something to go wrong. The barrel shroud has loosened a few times and it seems like every time I tighten it back down it changes the POI a bit and I have to re zero. The amount of barrel flex concerns me, just seems like it is causing some of my issues with repeatability. Maybe I just need to worry less and shoot more. Been through about 500 pellets so far. I have done a lot of shooting over the years, and it has been both my most enjoyable and most frustrating experience in shooting so far.

With all the swirling winds in the back yard, how do you find the right pellet?

For the best accuracy possible at 100 meters and a bit beyond…what would you consider the minimum magnification to prevent limiting precision? In other words is 10X limiting? Is 25X going to give a significant advantage over 15X?

I decided to take a big step up from my previous PCP's. I looked at a half a dozen or more platforms including the Reximex Throne II, Krait, FX Impact and Maverick, and the BRK Ghost. I wanted to shoot both pellets and slugs, (Eventually I will make a set of swaging dies.) I wanted a bullpup due to lower back problems. After weeks of researching I finally decided on the RTI Prophet 2. I found a gently used one, and e-mailed several times with RTIarms.eu with my concerns. They said they would honor the remaining warranty, and if I need anything to simply reach out. They are there to support their customers.

Here are a few pics, with my Armasight Zeus 3-24X75 thermal. I'm going to try doing a little pesting if I can get the parallax adjusted close enough. BTW there are no scratches, just particles from RIPPING the package open. WOOHOO!

I have a Bushbuck Carbine in .45 cal. I got it last year and shot it a bunch last summer, but now it has been sitting. I just recently found out that my state will not allow big game airgun hunting for deer anytime soon. So, there for I gotta sell this gun.

This is not an original idea, it’s most definitely not my idea, but I figured it was worth illustrating. The Taipan Veteran checks off a Lot of boxes for anyone looking for a hunting/ pesting PCP. It’s built like a tank, it’s short, extremely accurate, reliable, repeatable, gets plenty of shots off a fill, has anti-double cocking feature, & excellent accuracy across it’s power range (easily adjustable via the hammer spring) Amongst other features I may have missed. BUT it doesn’t have a side cocking lever…..The Horror!

Just curious to see how much it costs to follow a tank. I will be needing to purchase a compressor sometime . There isn't much access to HPA in the area and was wanting to know what the price is to fill a tank. Just trying to justify an Alkin.

Looking to sell my black mk2 impact in 25 cal configuration (700mm heavy slug liner). It has the 580cc bottle and will come with 2 high capacity magazines. The gun shoots great. The price is $1500 firm. If you are east of the MS I will cover shipping, if you are west I will cover half the shipping. No trades at the moment because I can't think of anything I'm looking for. Selling because I have impacts in 22, 30 and 35 cal and never shoot this gun. PayPal F&F only. I will post pictures if anyone want some, but we all know what an impact looks like. Trying to decide on my first higher end pcp air gun. Most of my shooting is 30 yards out in my back yard with pellets and some slugs, I am also looking at taking to the range to stretch it out further. I do some pesting in my back yard also. I have been looking at the Vulcan 3 in .25 cal. w/ 500mm barrel and the FX Maverick Compact in .25 cal. The reason I am looking at bullpups is I like there compact size. From doing some searches here on the forms I see a lot of people having problems with the Mavericks and that might be because it is a more popular gun and have more in circulation than the Vulcan. One aspect I do like about the Maverick is there is a lot of adjustments that can be made without taking it apart. Also seems like there are a lot of mods that can be done to the Maverick. I am fairly new to pcp's also so the Maverick may be a little to much for a newbie. Any thoughts on which one would be a better choice for a newer shooter?

Weihrauch HW55 Tyrolean. Original bluing and stock finish. Has the original Weihrauch Diopter and eye shade. Been tuned with a Vortek Tune Kit. The original spring and seal included. Very smooth and buttery. Shoots 7 grain lead wadcutters right at 600 fps. A few tiny scratches in the metalwork bluing. Basically this is as good as they get. No rust or wear. Never been gored by the cocking lever. A rare chance to own the best.

This is a lot of 5 pots of new JSB pellets in .177 , 8.44 gr , 4.52 head size and 350 pellets per pot . These pellets came from original new 500 tin pellets but dented cans . I select the good ones and make pots of 350 pellets each . For one 5 pots $45 plus $9.95 shipping . If you like only one pot $9 plus $8 shipping .

Why 350 each ? My pots only holds 350 , not more .

So I was on the Wal-Mart website and noticed that there are a few different Yong Heng compressors and I was curious as to which is the best one to get? They're all so inexpensive that if one is worth the extra couple of bucks then it's easily justifiable. Tanks I will be filling are 300cc 250 bar tank on my M3 Compact, 700cc 300 bar tank on my M3 Sniper, and my AV 6.8L tank. Thanks.
