I want one of the wood stocks, but worry that after waiting for a lifetime, they, AV’a china source will not correct the present problem detailed in the reviews.
Evidently these are the problems:
That the mounting screw holes are not drilled in the correct posit on.
The holes for the forearm rail are too large to hold the nut and when the nut is screwed onto the screws from the inside, it was found the nuts just pulled out through the too large holes.
More inletting needs to be done to fit the stock.
I have the .22 plastic stocked version, when I pick it up, it feels cheap, the rifle makes popping and creaking noises, like pulling a Dime store off a cliff with a Ford 250 diesel truck.
In spite of this, it is one of, if not the best grouping rifle I own, At 600 fps/ 12 fpe, the shot count is very close to 2, meaning two fills for a tin if Crosman HP’s.
I am anxiously waiting for the first reviews when the next batch arrives, perhaps the Chinese are waiting for the trees to grow bigger.
