I'm selling my Vortex Golden Eagle which was on a rifle I no longer own. It's a 15-60 power magnification scope in pristine condition and, of course, is covered by Vortex's fully transferable lifetime "no questions asked" warranty, the best warranty in the business. Can anyone help me understand how the groups can end up like that basically 2.5 inches to the left/right of each other. Are the slugs spiraling?

After months on the “drawing board” Joe Garland of JD’s Custom Designs is at it again! Never satisfied with the status quo in other traditional FT wheels, he has listened to you and incorporated a lot of your requests and needs into the new Gen 4 model.

The Gen 4 will incorporate new materials reducing overall weight, improved durability and increased ruggedness. In the Gen 4 series you will also see a much stronger magnet system keeping the wheel on the hub even in the most challenging shooting environments.

So does your current FT wheel limit you easy access to the illumination switch on your scope?

Do you find yourself having to remove the wheel to gain access or struggle to get your fingers on the knob?

Not any more!

One of the coolest features I believe is, the new design will allow those shooters who require easy access to the on/off switch of the reticle illumination a quick and easy solution and not have to remove the wheel!

I’m told he has the NMFS material units in stock and the aluminum units are soon to follow as the are a lot more time consuming to manufacture than the NMFS material ones and he wanted to get this new material and design in your hands and on your scope ASAP.

I’m sure you know not all scopes have the same or even close to the same depth of field. Sometimes even within the same brand of scope. You may find you and your scope need a wider arc with larger spacing on the near targets while the brand of scope your buddy is using really need a wider spacing between his ranges beyond 45+ yards. This may affect and/or determine the arc and the radius of the wheel that will give you the advantage over other brands.

I ordered a sampling of these wheels so I can share with you all the cool features and hopefully explain in simple terms which model wheel will work best for you brand or model of scope.

A video will soon follow (I’ll post the link once I’ve finished) but if you know what your needs are, Joe tells me he has a good selection of the Gen 4 in NMFS material ready to ship.

He also tells me he has a brand new design also available called the Battle Axe because of its shape.

Here are pics of the shapes. And by the way, as in his earlier designs, with only one hub you can mount any and all wheels so you can experiment with what shape maximizes the parallax adjustments of your particular scope.

I did not tune this rifle, I did not even run a patch through the barrel. I zero'd my scope and shot this string. Time stamps tell all there.

Bought this new from Airguns of Arizona about 3 weeks ago. Not really my style. Have an adapter to screw a regular can on it, and can offer a 0db (.25) can or a donny fl can (.25) for another $100.

I have a Brocock AtomicX in .25 purchased form Airguns of Arizona about 2-3 weeks ago (would have to check invoice). Comes with everything that came in the box and has probably 80ish rounds through it. I've been running it with a Donny FL can and it is absurdly quiet. Oddly, the 0db works better on the LCS than the FL, and this one is quieter with the FL than the 0db.

Asking $1200 shipped to your door with either can. Scope is a Trijicon TA31 (556 BDC Red chevron) and not included. I'd be willing to part with it for $1200 otherwise It's going back on my AR. I accept paypal or crypto

Are the DOT certified Chinese cylinders with m18 1.5 threads safe and good to go? Found a brand that is DOT but has that “other” threading so I’m assuming it would need a China made valve as well. Anyone have experience with such products?

So I had a bunch of Rainstorms in the past from .22 to .357 probably a dozen of so but now I only have 5 left.

I absolutely love the platform, Rugged, reliable, powerful and plenty accurate for me.

As always I have to mess with my airguns and change them around a bit

So here are the many faces of my 5 remaining Rainstorms :

First up is the one that resembles a standard Rainstorm the most, but I still stripped the stock of the stain and re-finished on the bare wood.

this one is a .30 tuned by Will Piatt for 100 FPE.




Next one up is a .25 that I had for about 3 years, never seen a tune and also never had a problem at all, shooting the Baracuda 31gr at 55 FPE

This one I set it into a Winchester stock






Next is my .30 Mini-Carbine, cut barrel, shroud, airtube and shortened the LOP in the stock, 70 FPE





This one is a .25 over 10 years old, tuned by Will Piatt for 60 FPE and shooting the 29.5gr Nielsen bullet real well.

I set this one in a folding 10/22 stock






And for last my most beautiful Rainstorm, a .30 that never seen a tuner, all I did was clip the hammersping a bit and I'm gettin 85 FPE for 3 mags, sub MOA at 80 yards with the 44gr JSB, I had this gun for about 7 years with absolutely zero problems, even minimal.

This gun is set in a beautiful thumbhole stock.
