Scammers Took It To A New Level Beware.....

Ok everyone PLEASE be careful when purchasing I have seen a scam before but never like this. Today my AGN was hacked they changed the email address and password and listed items for sale. Many of you know me and talk to me outside of this forum and a BIG shout out to @M0ist0ne for contacting me outside the forum and @Jack.K as well to see what was up. My friends got intouck with admins and stopped it as soon as we knew something was wrong. I really hope no one got had from this horrible action. I love this hobby and try and help others whenever I can. I send out items to test, offer to use my funds to pay for items for friends that don't have PayPal and I wait for the money order from them. Don't buy items with out speaking to or getting as much information as possible. I will go beyond that and from now on when I list a item for sale in classifieds I will request you to ask me to take a picture with my item with whatever you request to prove I have it also in this post I will post my current airguns this is what to background carpet floor etc will look like. I have full access back so any questions please reach out. *The only exception with a different background is the AA pistols I had listed for the club.

New Daystate Revere

Wow! Just got a chance to shoot my new Daystate Revere @50 yds today. If it was a bit heavier I would say it shoots as well as my Red Wolf it just seems to be a bit more easily jiggled on styx but 4 shot groups @3/8” with a 5th opening the group a bit. Pretty amazing I think for a hunting rifle

Braggin'

Just a little bragging here. I introduced myself on this forum maybe two months ago. That was when I took possession of my first airgun. Today I completed the Pyramid Air MOA challenge. Five, 5 shot groups, sub-moa at 50 yards. To some, no big deal. To an old, shaky fart who plans to do pesting only out to about the 50 yard mark, it makes me feel good. I have been lurking and learning on this forum so feel free to also enjoy this accomplishment that you have contributed to.

Take your FX Impact to the Next LEVEL!! BC Customs strikes again!!

We are proud to introduce our line of Carbon Fiber Tension Shroud kits! These units will work on most FX rifles to create a tensioned barrel system. These units will help increase the stiffness of the barrels on many of the FX rifles as well as looking great!

We are also excited to introduce the much anticipated Tungsten Hammer Weight! We will have two weights available to help with your tuning needs. There will be a Standard weight hammer weight of 223 grains, and a Heavy weight hammer of 254 grains! This will help push your rifles to new limits and achieve never seen before power. This will allow us the shooters to push heavier projectiles faster!

Check out this new Impact M3 and its new winner

Bullet Central wants to congratulate Landon for winning the top prize from the Bullet Central TacSport Challenge ProAm competition last weekend.

Landon shot our airgun stage during the ProAm and had a respectable time on the 10 target stage. His dad, John shot the fastest on the stage which included 10 targets ranging from 25 to 100 yards. With John's outstanding shooting, he was able to post an impressive 24 second 10 shot 10 impact stage.

John gifted the rifle to his son, who will be shooting his brand new FX Impact M3 at up coming matches.

Rifle configuration included

Fx Impact M3
Element Titan 3-18x56
Hawkins Ultra Light Rings
CDF Armory for the coating

Thank you to our GREAT sponsors that helped put this rifle together and in the hands of an up and coming shooter!

TX200 .17 New Out of the Box question?

Happy to say I received my .177 TX200 last Friday and shared it with my buds at out monthly Air Gun get together on Saturday. One friend said I could use some of his Tung oil to finish the beautiful walnut stock. I agreed and after the meet we went to his place and prepped the stock with 00 steel wool followed with a nice coat of tung oil. Wow!...
Now back to my original question
I cleaned the barrel with a few patches and that was it, clean. ran a few FX 8.4 pellets through her to make sure things were as they should be, all seemed well and good.
Took the action out and worked in another coat of tung on Monday. Buffed and worked the stock today and back together she went. Now it's time to see what she will do over the chrony. I mount my FX chrony just under the front of the barrel end and load an FX 8.4 gr for the start off a 5 shot group. What I was expecting was readings around the upper 800's like Steve on AEAC got with his .17 back 3 years ago. Not even close is mine. His 10.3gr are shooting at 810 and mine is 680???
Do I need to shoot a tin through her to break her in? Or ?
Any advice is most welcome.
Here is my 8.4 shot string.

Wildcat MK3 BT Compact .22

I thought this might be of benefit to some of the Wildcat BT fence sitters out there as well as any of you who may be frustrated with inconsistency.
After attempting to tune and harmonic tune my new Wildcat BT to the JSB Hades as well as other pellets I was ready to send it back and get a new one - until I watched Ted's video (Ted's Holdover), and heard him say something about keep shooting and shooting and at some point your ES/SD will shrink and become crazy consistent. I've watched more than one of Ted's videos and if nothing else I believe him when he says he's done something with X result. So I've put approximately 600 pellets down stream and ya know what??? Ted was right! Yesterday afternoon I sat down and ran my pellet selection over the FX radar again with some astonishing results. I shot 10 shot groups after several fowlers till it settled in - no more than 4 shots were needed. My settings are irrelevant to anyone else but I will share my chrony data with respect to each projectile tested.

JSB Redesigns Power wheel 7 - AVG FPS 854, ES 7, SD 2.3 NOTE: last week with the same settings my lowest ES was in the high 30's.
JSB heavy 18.13 Power wheel 5 - AVG FPS 939, ES 3, SD 1.1 I ran this 3 times throughout my testing yesterday with almost the exact results. 8@939fps and 2@937fps.
JSB Hades Power wheel 2 - AVG FPS 846, ES 14, SD 4.4 / Power wheel 3 - AVG FPS 902, ES 23, SD 8.3 second set just for a comparison.
FX Hybrid Power wheel 7 - AVG FPS 878, ES 9, SD 2.8 NOTE: last week my ES was no less than 23.

Now, I have not as yet harmonic tuned any of these however I was tuning for the Hades with MOA ish results out to 58 yards. The 18.13 Heavies were always the best with the Hybrids giving intermittent best groups. I hope that the harmonic tuning will now go much better.
As a side note; I was concentrating on the Hades because I had 2 occasions to use them within 30 yards at around 950 ish with absolutely devastating results. One chicken house raider was 21 lbs and the other was closer to 15 lbs.
I will now second Ted's advice, if you have a Wildcat BT and it seems like its all over the place and is inconsistent, shoot it, shoot it, shoot it and shoot it some more. I believe it will settle in, mine did.

SOLD JSB 25 cal Pellets For Sale!

Up for sale are a bunch of tins of JSB 25 pellets. I no longer have a 25 cal air rifle, so these pellets need to go. I will pack these with as many of the Pyramyd Air foam packaging as I have, and of course will bubble wrap everything safely, and mark as fragile. I have some small tins I will throw in to sweeten the deal depending on which you prefer.
20220809_220413.jpg

3 tins of the King Heavy 34 grain
4 tins of the 25 Gr Exact King pellets

Take them all for $125 and I'll throw in some 150 count tins of 25 gr and/or GTO non-lead pellets from JSB, and we can split shipping costs.

Methods: How do YOU make sure your "Optimum" zero is correct for 2 PBR zeros?

Wow, that IS a mouthfull... (chuckle)

OK, by using a ballistics program like Chargun Pro or Strelok you can plug in your data and the program will tell you what your optimum zero range is. Right?

OK, if you sight-in your scope at that "optimum" distance, how do you KNOW that you are truly sighted in at the optimum range?

There is VERY little difference in the POI within a specific range near the optimum zero distance, so it is hard to actually KNOW you are sighted in "optimally".

I mean, in my case, I set my kill zone at .25 or one quarter of an inch which is less than 2 widths of the .177 ammo I shoot.

Anyway, the only way I have come up with, and this is not always possible for many people, is to sight in the airgun at the "optimum range" and then set the target to the minimum and maximum PBR ranges and see if they are still within the kill zone and with the appropriate drops within the KZ.

THEN, I test closer and farther than the PBR (at measured distances) to see if the holdover/holdunder matches what I expect and/or what the ballistics program says it should be.

I guess my question is... is there an easier/faster way that is more precise or at least AS precise? I haven't even been able to find an article that refers to this, although I may have not used the correct/right search terms. (smile)
