N/A Choosing a .30 cal

My understanding is that it allows you to run 300 bar in an upgraded tank and regulate the pressure to the stock regulator. Since the Gaunlet is already prepared for the higher pressure I can't think of a reason you would want one. The Zelos on the other hand is only rated for 250 bar so the additional regulator would be helpful.
Wtf are you talking about

What's a flex reg?
Bro flex reg allows you to adjust from 2100 psi to 3100 psi. You can turn the gauntlet down to 2250 and get those same 108 110 FPE and get 60 or so shots with heavier ammo or you can go light for high 90FPE. On max with 78gr bthp you will get over 150FPE. stop listening to people who don't know what they are taking about. It's bad for your health. The flex reg stabilizes the pressure better than the stock reg. On 2600 psi you will get the same numbers as you would of with the stock reg on 2800 psi which is what the gauntlet is set at. All that the gun comes prepared for 300 bar. What does that even mean. I'm telling you I've seen it so many times people don't know what they are taking about an end up misleading somebody and convincing them not to get something that they really wanted because now they think it's trash or doesn't do this or that. Just hit up Hajimoto.

Gotcha! I thought that it someone allowed you to reach 150fpe. When I had my g30 in stock length the most I got was about 110 fpe without messing with the hammer spring shooting 78gr bt at 800fps. It's not a compact and it still shoots them at 756fps with the reg at 3050psi and hst most of the way in.
It does. And if you were shooting the 78 bthp at only 800 then something is wrong. I get 830 with reg set to 2600psi

I'm not sure there's something wrong with mine, the gun comes from factory with the reg set to 2800psi making the power between 110 and 120fpe. Does yours have anything else that's custom besides the flex reg?

Thanks bro….more often referred to as an adjustable reg around these parts. Thus I think the reason for a little confusion.

No that's about right. 126 FPE is what mine did stock at max hammer.
Okay, that's what I figured. The barrel on mine is now 20 inches, instead of 28, and it will still put out a 100 foot-pounds and a tad more if I max out the spring with the 78gr, but my regulator is between 3050 and 3100psi

I just saw this, i somehow missed it earlier.

I am a new airgun shooter but have been shooting firearms for 45 years. I have an Airacuda Max in .22 and have enjoyed it so much I would like to add a .30 cal. for larger game. I am looking at the Umarex Gauntlet SL 30 and the JTS Brawn. Both get great reviews and I think either would work for me. My only hesitation is the lower air volume. Is there a quality .30 cal. with a bottle that could be upgraded for under $800? Thanks in advance.
The SL 30 will take any bottle 62mm or less diameter. Right now that is 0.8L. The 60mm and larger mean you have to remove the forestock.

My G30 sports a 0.7L bottle with a Huben Power Cricket adjustable regulator.

Now if you want to get crazy, with a Huben Power Cricket drop block regulator you can put a 1.1L and possibly an Acecare long 2L bottle. You need a m18 to g1/2 adapter.

Great information, thank you!

I was looking and Alsafe has a 0.8L bottle that is 74mm diameter and only 313mm long. I measured the gap on my G30 between my barrel and the 0.7L 61.5mm diameter bottle and it would probably fit. Probably insufficient space left for barrel bands unless you forego the barrel/bottle gap. Now bad brain is screaming "BUY ONE BUY ONE"

How do you feel about the barrel bands Matt? I have heard so many differing opinions about them.

Absolutely on the Gauntlet.
Some rifles do not benefit from them.
My G30 was good at 45 yards.
I put Terminador mega band on and it became excellent.
