First of all I'm sorry to do this question "again". But I read almost all posts from you about this argument of which should be the best choice on a middle range PCP.
But I didn't found the answers I'm looking for....

Said that, I'm looking to buy the best rifle my money can buy! Based on 4 important principles. But first I need to say that I'm located in Europe and as I saw of what you guys from USA "think" or have said on the posts given advise from others with my same questions that I read, and consider as a budget price rifle ( 300 USD), here in EU some of them are the double!

BTW I'll give you my 3 important things that I'm looking for...

1 - Price range I would like to stay on 300/400 euros ( here now the UX Notos is for around 420e, just to give an idea... others stays on the 300 range)

2 - I would like to have a powerful rifle, but also that on the near future I can be able to tuning and power up (as I saw you can do on the Snowpeak T-REX, but none has available here in EU).

3 - accuracy and cal. .22 (but if is best can be also .177)

4 - Finally a rifle that I can fill up with a hand pump and NOT a compressor.

So guys I would loved to know your opinion and advises on which brand/model is the best chose for me!

I finally got to shoot my (new to me) Anschutz LG380 yesterday. Some tweaking of the diopter and I was ready to go. Here are the first 5 shots at 11.8 meters. I am very pleased with that, especially with my old eyes looking through a diopter sight. I have to do some convincing in my mind that what I am looking at is actually centered I wish I had the eyesight I had when I was younger!! I plan on installing a scope on it in the near future.

It's amazing how much fun these 10m rifles are to shoot. I now have the FWB 300s, Diana 75HV and the Anschutz LG380. All 3 bring a smile to my face when I shoot them. While I have some more powerful springers, there is just something about these old 10m rifles. The precision and craftsmanship are like a finely tuned swiss watch.

So I have a cheapie HF small lathe that I've had for about 10 years now. It was always rickety and now even moreso. Thinking it's time for an upgrade.

Been off an on looking at smaller units. Space is a major concern. Saw a South Bend 1944 9A locally for 1700 with some tooling, and as much as I'd like to jump on it, I just dont have the space and I dont want to have to restore, mess with it, tinker, etc, etc. Seller states 'excellent' condition, but I dont know enough about them to verify that. I know there are a ton of these around and so good user support, but want something I can plug in and run.

So usage. I only infrequently use my current lathe. Partly because I dont have much I need to machine often, but also because I look for reasons NOT to use it because it's just not fun to use. It's fiddly, nothing on it seems 'tight'... I cant really do much with it other than delrin or aluminum without a ton of frustration. Case in point, yesterday I chopped off the choke on a barrel I intend to shoot slugs with. I could only get through 1/3 of the barrel and it was rough. Ended up using a hack saw and then facing it with the lathe, which was an adventure, but I eventually got it done.

I know Little Machine Shop sells the China lathes already QC'd and with upgraded parts and apparently their customer support is top notch.

I've looked at some of the larger benchtop Grizzly options, but see a lot of issues with them from folks. Seems hit or miss. I have a Grizzly band saw and after quite a lot of truing it up, etc, it does fine... but any adjustment to it is a PIA.

I think Precision Matthews is in the same category with LMS from what I've read.

Sherline has some interesting options, but their lathes are tiny... as in like 25lbs tiny. I've read that they perform above their weight, but would seem that there needs to be some mass there. Maybe these folks are making RC car parts and similar with them.

Any others I should look at or does anyone have any advice? Biggest criteria is I'd like to have a machine I dont have to mess with constantly to use. Price around the 2500 mark max. Benchtop size but still stout enough for some small parts from steel on occasion. I'm good with smaller cuts, been used to that.

Just curious if anyone has been in contact direct with gx lately ? If so how did you get in touch with them. The email on their website is no good and the phone number won’t go through either. Interested in another pump from them but not if they have a bunch of useless contact info.

I posted a question a little while back about what gun I should get. I wasn’t satisfied with my FX and ya’ll gave me some good feedback. Several people recommended the RAW HM1000x mini hunter and that’s what I settled on.

I haven’t shot it yet but I like the feel of it. I’d say the quality seems on par or a little better than FX. Definitely more solid and robust but it’s not much heavier. It’s not much louder, if any despite not having a shrouded barrel.

It’s a .25 cal. I changed the grip and stock although the one it came with wasn’t bad. I added a DonnyFL Shogun, SWFA fixed 10x, QD atlas bipod and sling.

She’s ready to go huntin!

So I finally got my scope mounted and went out to test the gun today! Seems to shoot well but I was pressed for time and it was freezing out so I only shot 10 rounds.

More importantly, as I was outside in good lighting I noticed that there are scratches all over the gun barrel and this is a brand new gun. If it was $300-500 I probably wouldn’t care but on principal, for the kind of money this gun costs I am a little disappointed. There are quite a bit of them… it almost looks like it was either a return or Brocock sent it out like this….

What do you guys thing?! Am I being dramatic for expecting a clean reasonably flawless barrel for $2300? They are hard to see in this lighting and on the camera but they are definitely there and it looks like someone removed the barrel and scratched it up!

Got a decently sized male grey squirrel today, was actually shooting to figure out the trajectory on this Zelos in the woods about 55y behind my house, saw a grey squirrel hop from a pine onto my roof, then him trying to get under the gutter guards. He FAFOd pretty fast. Was skinning him because I enjoy eating them without the fur sometimes.. .

The hydrostatic effect ruptured his thoracic cavity, completely shredded the right lung, perforated and dissected the left, liquified the heart lacerated the liver. Fragmented completely. The base is what exited only flecks of lead recovered. Pics added when I wash everything off
