Help, FX Maverick won't fire

Hi, I am at my wits end here!

So, I decided to fine tune the hammer spring; turned power wheel to the adjusment aperture (uncocked gun), gave it one CC turn - forgot to turn the power back to 7, cocked & fired. Surpised at the (obviously) abysmal result, I repeated once more before I realized my mistake. So, after two shots in the adjustment position, I finally returned back to setting 7, and tried to fire - nada. The trigger is dead; i.e. I squeeze, nothing happens, i feel it bottom out & spring back a bit when I release it, but hammer does clearly not get released.
I even - with a heavy heart, since the gun was cocked - turned the wheel back to the adjustment position & then the adjustment screw to the original setting; didn't change the situation one iota. Nor did trying to operate the rear end of the trigger assembly directly.
So now I have a cocked gun with no idea how to depressurize the plenum, nor how to proceed from there. Can I carefully open the second reg adjustment screw & bleed the pressure that way, or will the screw just pop out at full pressure and kill someone??
Any help/advice/thought is greatly appreciated! Am on my vacation, planned to do a lot of tuning and test firing all week long, really bummed out right now!

N + 1

The formula for the number of air guns a person should own is of course = N + 1, where "N" is the number of guns one currently owns. Thought it might be fun to have a thread to see who has a new plus 1 and what they think about it. We'll all be battling for the silver medal behind Crowski I'm sure ha! Kim's anniversary present HW 30S Deluxe got here last night. Too late to shoot it but the grin on her face while holding it tells me I did well. Might be the second-best anniversary present ever, behind the Pyr puppy I gave her 4 years ago. She's small and was REALLY happy with the size and light weight. Said it was going to be perfect for shooting off hand with open sights and dispatching snakes etc. which is the plan for this gun. Will post feedback after she gets to shoot it. FedEx says they're going to be here with my "new" gun today. Could be another post later.

Rookie in Airgun PCP World -SOS Kalibrgun Cricket 2 Tactical 45 cal .22

Hello Airgun Nation, greetings from Peru.
I am a rookie in the Airgun World, around ten years ago I had to gave away my shotguns and shells. Since then, I always was thinking to shooting again. I found in PCPs a great opportunity to get back.
After waiting for more than two years, recently I bought a Kalibrgun Cricket 2 Tactical 45 cal .22. Really, what I wanted to buy was a FX Wildcat III, but it never arrived to my country. In Peru, the market is small and it is not easy to get a good PCP Rifle. There are many Chinese, Indian, Turkish guns but I didn't want any of those. Fortunately a Dealer import some Kalibrgun, Air Technology and othe Chez guns . I chose the KC2T 45 cal .22 to start in the Airgun World.
Given the above, after I bought the KC2T 45 cal .22, I got an Element Optics Helix Scope 6.24x40 FFP mounted on Vortex Optics Pro (extra high) weavers. Also, I bought two DonnyFl moderators Tanto and Tatsu. I'm already bought many cans of JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy 18.13 and Jumbo Monster 25.39 pellets... given all this, I will ask for your help guys.
You all have a wide experience with PCPs and maybe some of you know well the KC2T 45 cal .22 too. I have some questions that maybe some of you can answer and help me:
1) What FPS do you recommend me to get the best performance using each of the above pellets type?
2) For this airgun what Far Zero do you think is the best to set?.
3) I watched a video in Youtube, where there was used Loctite 243 to tight the spring regulator. How can I remove the Spring regulator screw to apply some Loctite correctly?.
4) Someone can tell me what was the longest and accurate shot made with this Rifle? therefore, thinking on his/her experience, to reach the longest accurate and possible shot distance , what tips would you give me to consider?
5) When you are not using the Rifle, what pressure do you recommend to leave in the air tank?
6) When you fill the air for first time, What do I have to consider? I heard that I have to keep the cocking side lever open, is it true? what else?
7) Do I have to reach the 300bar indicated in the manometer, or is better to load up to 250bar to protect the O-rings?
8) Please give me any other tip that you would consider useful and valuable ...
Below a picture of my gun in its case .... Thank you in advance for all tips and time...

What to get

My air Venturi Compressor is dieing a slow death and the factory says send it in for repair. If I lived in Parkway Ohio I would do that. Living in SW Washington State it's both too far to drive and cheaper to by a new one than to ship it.
So....What do i get now? I don't need something that is rated for breathing air. I do want something that is reliable and repairable. I don't want to spend more than $3K for a unit. I have to drive an hour to get to a SCUBA supply shop. Maybe lease a Nitrogen high pressure tank for the garage with the appropriate fittings and use that?? Although many of the rifles I own direct one to use air only. Any thoughts would be really appreciated.

M3 Tungsten hammer?

Is this a tungsten hammer weight (see picture). Probably seems like an odd question, like I should know, but there are a couple reason I am asking and don’t know.
1. I didn’t order tungsten hammer weight. I ordered a slug power kit and just received it but opted not to get the hammer weight. If I remember correctly the reason I decided not to get the weight is that I have a 600mm barrel, and I believe I was told that with the 600mm barrel the hammer weight would leave the valve open to long and dump air out after the slug exited. Does this sound correct? When I received the slug power kit it had this part in it, but I don’t see that part in any pictures of the slug power kit.
2. The second reason that I am not sure that this is a hammer weight is that it mostly looks like the pictures of the hammer weight, but it is tapered at the end and none of the pictures I see of the hammer weight are tapered like that.
It does feel quite heavy for such a small part.
Two more questions.
It has been a while, but I think I remember reading that if you have the M3 you should not install the rubber ball, is that correct?
And in the Earnest Rowe video on installing the slug power kit he says it comes with a couple spacers to add tension to the hammer spring. Mine did not have those spacers am I missing something or has there been a change since that video was made?

Thanks for any help.

Got that little stinker

For many mornings, we had "the odor", so we knew we had a skunk hanging around. Well, it got bold today and started nibbling on the bird feeder spillage in plain sight.
When he saw us, he raised his tail, then he got comfortable once his message was made known.

Well, at an easy 20 yards, FX Impact .30 made its message known! No spray!!!

Last question on hand pumping

Lets say I buy the Hatsan Blitz at .30cal... And lets say that the Blitz needs aprox 300 pumps to go from 120 bar to 250... A filled Blitz at .30 will give 100 shots filled to 250bar... So if I just want to shoot 10 or 20 pellets only... I would have to pump ±30 times for 10 and ±60 for 20 from 120bar? Or because it is low pressure it gives less shots per pump meaning I would need more pumps for these 10 or 20 shots? Thank you

I Think I Found My M3’s Sweet Spot

Tune tune tune - tweak tweak tweak. We all know every pcp is different. I like my M3 because I am a tinkerer and shoot spinners and holes in paper. I shoot into a safe area behind my workshop so I can sit in an air conditioned or heated area, enjoy my favorite beverage and savor being retired. Here’s my latest tune which I am happy with. Photos below show 1/4” groups at 65 yards. I don’t know how to calculate MOA but I think this is sub MOA. I hope you are all enjoying airguns and this group as much as I am!

WFTF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS EQUIPMENT STATISTICS 2022 ITALY

Nation,

Here are the statistics for equipment that was used in the WFTF World Championships in Italy 2022. This is a Facebook link, if anyone knows how to post this image(s) for those who do not have or wish to use FB, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm not a tech guy, so I might need a little assistance with this one. There is no individual equipment breakdowns, but it's something......

taipan vet 177 standard

thought this was damn good for 100 shots no cherry picked 10 shot string tuned by me accurate as any 177 can be 8.44 shoot really well at 50 yards probably could lower the reg a bit as when it came off the reg fps raised some. shot id say 20 shots out of the same 240bar fill before i settled on my speeds id say i can shoot 120-130- shots per fill tried from 870 to where its at and these speeds the gun likes try some 10.34 today if body lets me

Less than lethal?

I have been lurking around this forum for a while but I cannot seem to find the information I am looking for. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

I live out in a rural area and have chickens in a coop/run. The problem comes when the neighbors (using the term loosely) let their dogs run around and they are tearing up my coop and other things. I would like to purchase a PCP pistol or rifle with the option to sting the dogs without wounding or killing them. I am not sure if it is possible but would like to be able to hunt/kill other animals like coyotes as well. I will need to be shooting from my back deck roughly 20-30 yards sometimes closer. I have considered using felt cleaning pellets in a high power pcp but worry about accuracy. Again any advice would be appreciate. Thank you all in advance. If this is not the correct forum please let me know and or move it. Again thank you!
