CARM magazines problem for FX Crown

Hello everyone,

I just received two new magazines that I ordered from CARM to fit my .177cal FX Crown MK II. One is the Micro Size Mag and the other one is the Slug Mag. The Micro fits really ( really ) tight, so much so that I have only used it one time. The Slug Mag will NOT insert passed the “O”ring and I have to force it up to that point. I sent an email to CARM and his reply was “they are tested on my rifle before sending g. Please check if your barrel is set little bit too much backward, that is the only reason that could cause that problem (happened few times with some customers)”.

My FX factory mag fits perfect and I am hesitant to make any changes to this rifle. I am concerned that if I move the barrel forward enough for the Slug Mag to fit, then the FX factory mag would be too loose?

Has anyone experienced this and or have any suggestions.

Thank you and have a great day,
ThomasT

SOLD FX T12 .22 w/ Extras

A very quiet but heavy hitting FX rifle . I shoot with a lot of youth however and this gun is just a little long for most of the younger boys. While the bipod helps, many still have a hard time with it due to it's length, For those not as familiar with rifles, it's not quite as smooth loading the clips as we'd like for the younger kids. The rifle has some areas on the stock where the outer covering has been worn; but remains a solid rifle. It comes with 2 – 12 shot mags and a bipod. Holds air beautifully. Fully shrouded barrel makes it very quiet but it does have an end-cap w/ threads for an additional moderator if desired. (scope & rings not included)

Last listed price I can find on the rifle shows it available for $1,239, the 2 clips at $65/each and bipod at $85 putting the package value at over $1,500.

Need to fund other projects, Shipped CONUS for $429

PM for more details. PayPal F&F (unless you have a good BOI history) / Certified Bank Check or MO.
Thanks for looking!

Taking a walk with Penny and the 177 Sigg turns into quite an adventure, Panda in broad daylight!

After my wonderful morning conference calls, Penny needed to get out for a walk. So did I.

I grabbed the Sigg in 177 because it’s been my go to rifle lately.

We’re walking along the creek and I looked down, trash panda. I could tell it was a youngster. Penny’s 10 feet in front of me. I quietly tell her to stop. And stay. She does. Great dog!

Up comes the Sigg, and we do a stare down. I’m not shooting until it turns around. Just for a second it turns his head sideways to look at something that made a noise. That was the last thing that panda did. It’s funny how I don’t even think about it, the rifle just goes off.

Did I hesitate because I only had a 177 Springer in my hands? Yes, for just a moment. Then all the muscle memory came back of all the shots I’ve been making over the last couple weeks. And I was confident. I put it right on the back of his head, pulled the trigger, and he went down hard. Lights out. He did the death flop for a bit and then I put one right in his eye as a back up. He didn’t move.

The first picture is from up on top, the dead raccoon is in the middle of the picture. The next few I took we’re just getting closer and closer to get you perspective.

I retrieved the body and dropped it back into their Den. Which was about 75 yards away up the side of the creek bank.

I am so impressed with this rifle.

Hawke Vantage on springer?

I was considering a Hawke Vantage 4-12x40 AO Mil Dot reticle scope for my .177 Beeman R9 which has been tuned to 13.5 fpe.
The manufacturer says the scope is not recommended for springers with more than 12 fpe.

With my gun being tuned, it is much smoother than stock. Am I foolish to try this scope, or will I be alright? Thanks everyone!

Best,
Darren

EDIT: Just found this thread, sounds like I should keep looking https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/hawke-vantage-on-a-springer.811836/#post-1265972

Catastrophic failure of a ruger air rifle

I had owned this air rifle for about two to three months with no problems until it suddenly snapped back while loading and fired. The barrel is now bent due to the sudden jolt. After disassembly it would appear a pin for the gas cylinder broke causing it to suddenly release its pressure. I've only had this air rifle for about three months and now it is completely useless. I'd like some advice on what I should do with it now.

The Fates worked out…I can groupie at RMAC for a couple hours

My new car was late and at the same time, early arriving, so tomorrow on my move to NH after a string of emails and one dash out to my local permission the Ranger XR for testing, I am heading to groupie at RMAC. So if you see an extremely good looking guy drive up in a shine grey Subaru Outback Wilderness, that probably isn’t me, I am the other guy, but same car. Please say hello. Also, I spoke to Francisco of RTI / Edgun and we finally get to meet, and so super cool. Life is a blessing especially with great people events and plenty of high equality airguns to smack your lips at, ps hope to get some bobbles too at RMAC.
