What’s your craziest PCP build? What did it cost you? Purpose of the build? What was your dumbest build?

Heres mine. PROD with a DNT Zulus with a DFL Ronin on. At first I had put it on just to laugh at it but it honestly works pretty good. Looks funky. Purpose is to get these pesky rabbits at night. I have to be silent as I live in the suburbs with a 25 yard max shot. Shooting CPHP 14.3gr at 650fps.

I have a tank valve thay come off and omega tank. Upgraded to a hp3 valve. Nothing wrong the valve. No dings or scratches. Works as it should.

My custom designed 3 groove Hammerforged by TJ. Tested very well with both pellets and slugs. It's a .217 bore so anything .218 or larger didn't perform nearly as well as the proper sized slugs. 1in18" twist. Best for 24gr and under. FX Hybrids did exceptionally well. Uses a few barrel designs in one for the TP. Pellet port standard in most guns. A wide bridge TP like the RTI and both are combined with the channel recess which allows both ports to technically be used during every shot. Double redundancy on the Shroud/Airtube seals. Requires 3 different orings to fail on a single end before leakage. I've repaired many that get the factory oring seal cut during removal/install/swapping liners. This prevents that. You can remove both factory seals and still have two orings on each end to seal the airtube. Drop in ready. Lapped and polished. $275 shipped to your door.

Five years on, and I'm still quite smitten with the OG Taipan Veterans!

I bought my first one five years ago; a Long in .22 caliber, and although I have changed my preferences a bit in regards to size and caliber, I still love the platform. These two are both .25 caliber CZ barrels. The Standard is tuned to 45 FPE with the King Heavy, and the Short is tuned to 25 FPE with the regular weight King.

Granted I've never owned other PCPs yet and maybe I'm being a bit too narrow minded but I've really seriously considered other PCPs to buy and came very close to pulling the trigger on a few of them. Learning and researching about other guns is continuous. I just haven't found another one yet that suits me as well as the Taipan Veterans. Or maybe I'm just way too picky as well.

Just got into air rifles and wanted to start modifying a pcp rifle next something similar to this let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions on a good rifle for this

I did some searches but didn't see any meaningful results to my specific topic. I've found that like with all guns ammunition or projectile quality makes a huge difference in accuracy. When I got my Feinwerkbau 800 I picked up some Tenex air from Eley , some RWS R10 as well as some inexpensive Meisterkugeln. The results were as expected, the higher the price the more accurate the projectile. To find out what my rifle likes the best, what are some of the better brands people have tried in the .177 pellets?

So i recently aquired a new fx m4 30cal sniper and a western Sidewinder compact 25cal and what friken joy i been having . Wife is a bit pissed on the cash i keep tearing out of the bank but hell, better to ask for forgivness then permission sometimes lol.
So the M4... Out the box it is Absolutly stunning copper edition.. love it.. Loaded a mag of hades and shot a group at 40 yards.. One ugly hole it left.. The trigger!! My gosh.. The trigger is amazing!! Crisp, predictable,AMAZING.. one of the rubber balls in the mag well fell out but i had some old impact slug kits that had the rubber ball and so thats all good.. Generally i am a slug shooter but with no slug liner, Tunsten hammer or slug power kit i figured i would try my go to Fx hybrid slugs/rmr and they shot terrible.. i mean utter dog poop. i tuned and tuned. did not matter what i did the barrel hated them.. So i loaded back up some pellets and low and behold 1 ugly hole again.. SO i had to get it on par with my M3. My M3 was dialed. So i ordered up all new acc . Backbone copper, ST arca swiss low profile bottom rail, slug power kit with pin probe, tungsten hammer, heavy liner even tho i have probly 5 of them laying around but hell why not new gun should get something fresh right lol... So once all that shows up she will get a make over.. Stoked!
Now the Sidewinder... So if you have not had the liberty to shoot one of these you are missing out.. So much fun.. Cheeks kinda sore from the last few days from non stop smiles lol.. it shoots the jsb king heavies excepssional. I had to adjust the reg and a little tuning to get them at my disired speed but it was easy and straight forward. I have went threw 4 tins of pellets since wednesday . Its just that much fun to shoot.. semi auto is super fun but push that fun switch forward to full auto and yeeeyeeee lol... But im a fool and got to thinking.. what kinda power can i get outa this? So i reached out to AOA and inquired on the long barrel and u can buy a complete barrel kit... Oops i deff should not of made that call. So yup new long barrel and 2 mags on the way with a assortment of slugs to try out lol..

I have been an amateur photographer since the 70's and as such image quality has always been at the top of my list of what I want/like most in a scope. I find that looking through scopes at a shop is of very little use as one can only hand hold a scope in that situation and look around the shop with it...and in that situation even the poorest of scopes appear to be stellar-until I mount it on my gun and take it to the range. I am determined to find the scope that I would like to call my end game scope. I don't give a rip if the scope has the best light transmission, or the best anti fog coating, or a giant objective, or can take the recoil of a 20mm canon. I want a scope to first have crystal clear and contrasty glass, second a reticle that is not too busy(my Meopta has that going for it at least), not be the size of a fricken telescope, have about a 3x to 4x zoom ratio from about 4x-16x or 6x-20x and feel smooth, yet solid, doesn't leak lube, smoothness in focusing and adjusting. Something doesn't seem to ad up as my phone has a greater zoom ratio than my scopes and takes razor sharp images to boot, so why don't all scopes have the same capability? The technology is out there. What am I missing?

Obviously there is an infinite number of possible tunes, but im just curious as to some tunes you guys use for specific situations and why.. Velocity, Pellet weight/shape, scope magnification, fill pressure etc.

I have gotten a lot of fun and enjoyment from my BB guns over the winter. Shooting in the shop has gotten me through the long cold of Iowa. I am also having a blast with restoring old Daisy BB guns. There are so many of them and parts are easy to find.

So now that I’m going outside I won’t be shooting them as much. I decided to do a couple projects. First I want to build a power house that shoots close to 400 fps.
And I want a custom stock set. I purchased this Model 111 so I can send it to Restomadaisy for a full customization. Stock and internals. Only problem is the gun I bought as a starting piece is in perfect condition.I won’t have it fire blued . The finish is to nice to mess with.
Even the stock and forearm are in great shape. Normally the they warp or crack. So I will use this set on one that I find later.

It will be a while as he has a year long backlog . I hope to have it back for next winter.

In the mean time I am going to do a full rebuild on a model 95 that is in rough shape.

I have a Benjamin 342 made in 1972. Is there a peep sight that will fit it without drilling and tapping? I was wondering about this one but it doesn't look promising.

The Barra 250Z is quite an awesome PCP air rifle as it turns out. If you have heard great things about this gun, everything you heard is true! Power to spare, adjustable reg and HST, perfect accuracy at 960 FPS! This gun is powerful, accurate, and adjustable. I got 50 shots per fill in .22 shooting about 46 foot pounds. Good stuff! Hi. When I was shooting my drs today i noticed that my barrel had moved 1-2mm forward (the brass that sticks out to guide magazine was flush with the block) dont know how long its been like this, probably since I upgraded it from 177 to 25. So I let all the air out today and took off the air cylinder loosend the 3 set screws and pushed it in and put everything together and filled it up again.
But now I had to force the cockinglever open the first part, I tried to close it and it goes smooth all the was until the last mm. This was not a problem before when the whole barrel assembly was "wrongly" mounted. Does the liner go all the way back so my pellet probe get stuck inside the liner?

Edit: there are no visible marks on the probe.

So I can't really make up my mind on what I want to get next... I'm looking for something in the $1k range... Not looking for anything specific but I'm not interested in anything under 50fpe.. no .177 or or break barrels.. I'm only interested in high small bore or big bores.. let me know what you have.. I use PayPal and have very good feedback on here .. thanks

I finally last year in November got my tractor restored and to our family property that has been overgrown for 20 years...I thought i need a forestery multcher...But with funds limited i gave the Kubota 3010D and 5 ft king kutter brush hog a go....It took me a month...a few days a week...slow but steady progress...brush 10 ft tall...going in reverse 1 gear backwards..dodgeing jajers...I had to keep a leaf blower on the tractor..To blow off engine and radiator from leaves and fuzzy seeds..every 30 min... I have to have a shooting range i can drive to the targets..Im handicap somtimes crutchs and cane..Getting gear to car a challange some days.. The 60 acre field i have the shooting range on is reclaimed coal property..There were and are old coke ovens in the hill..All the ground is basically a slate base...You can drive on year round...Not muddy..A good base...The grass and jagers weeds trees ect still grow on this ground.. So I have a semi level,,for my area..200-250 yard range cut that I drive my Honda CRV easily to the targets .. I have had my .510 Texan going on 5 years with a Coldshot Mil adjustable base...I have been wanting to use my coldshot mil base for long rang for a long time...I was again not able to walk move much having a bad day..I loaded up the Texan with minimal gear went to try out my new shooting 200 yard shooting range...I roughed it..I used a plastic sign for a target...Layed down in what used to be 10 ft high blackberry patch...Used my bipod and rear bag,and tethered 5500 psi regualted to 3625psi...I shot at least 35 rounds at 200 yards..Big Texan shot better than i expected..It wasnt a good health movement day..So one trip to target was it ..More good days will come..Working on getting a office utility trailer there for a perment shooting shack and a place to stay on the property..I don't know whether ill be able to build perment benches..Everything heavy..i struggle..For know i updated my BOG tripod to 55mm ball head and purchased a second smaller ball head tripod with V-yoke for the rear of the stock second point of contact.. So all in all i finally have a place to strech my Airforce legs out a bit..I hope to be able in the future to share my range with some of the next gereration and teach them the old ways of shooting sports...Thanks to the support and encourgement from the forum members..Airguns are my go to activity when my physical mobility is limited..

. Here’s a traditional rammer that makes a person wonder if PCPs are worth it. lol. Extremely accurate for small game hunting or target shooting. Love the rx2’s for what they are.

I was at the range just now and the gun just turned off, it had two bars showing on the battery indicator but wouldn't turn on again, I have charged it twice since getting the gun and have fired perhaps 1.5k pellets, is this normal?

I reached out to @ShootingNewB as they are making high capacity magazine for the Sniper XR in .22 cal. I asked if they were going to make them in .25 and they asked if I could send them dimensions for the .25 mag. This is the first one and it worked flawlessly.
If you have a Sahara Sniper XR and looking for a high capacity mag reach out to him. They work great. I am ordering another!!

Started life as a 800mm 35, went to 700mm 30, and now just bought a compact 500mm 25 barrel kit. Sure happy with how it turned out.
