Optics  SOLD Element Optics Immersive 14x50 Scope – mint condition

Selling my Element Optics Immersive 14x50 Scope, like new condition.

This is an extraordinarily compact and powerful scope — short eye relief, bright, sharp, crisp and contrasty with an impressively wide field of view.

I’ve used this scope indoors only for less than 6 months. There is not a visible mark or scratch on the scope and it functions as new. Thought I would hunt but changed my mind.

Includes all originally packed mounts and box. The windage turret cap not shown in the photos is included.

My loss is your gain. The scope new is $570. I’m selling it for $450 net to me.

You will not be disappointed.

Includes shipping CONUS.

FX  Need Help: FX Chronograph Warranty Issue After Dealer Closure

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out to this community with a heavy heart, hoping for guidance. Last year, I invested my hard-earned savings in an FX Chronograph from a local dealer here in Pakistan. As many know, the economic situation here is incredibly challenging—every penny counts, and replacing such an item is simply beyond my means.

Sadly, my chronograph stopped functioning recently, and since it’s still under warranty, I contacted FX directly. They redirected me to the original dealer, who has since closed their business. To make matters worse, there are *no longer any authorized FX dealers in Pakistan*, leaving me with no local support.

I’m sharing this not to criticize but to plead for advice. For someone in a country with limited resources and no accessible service centers, this warranty feels meaningless. Has anyone else navigated a similar situation? Are there alternative channels or escalation paths? This chrony was more than a purchase; it was a significant investment, and I feel utterly helpless. I have Sshoots of emails from fx and the dealer as well who closed his business

Any suggestions or solidarity would be deeply appreciated.

Regards
MUGHAL

JTS COMP100 compressor

I just used my JTS COMP100 (CS4I) for the first time tonight. I had degassed my Sniper Magnum to change the reg setting and the 480cc bottle was filled to 250bar in under 14:30 which is okay in my books. The dead head pressure test I initially did was 300bar in about 26-27 seconds if I remember right. It's very quiet and I definitely like it so far. I'm going to change the valve on mu 6.8L bottle, so that will be the next test.

A review if anyone is interested.

Does it exist? Slash, SWFA SS second gen?

Two semi-related questions in one....

Is the image quality/optical clarity any better with the second gen SWFA SS than it is with the first?

Recently deescalated the scope situation on my Ghost (@cavedweller, Rudy, you were right). The Falcon X50 was just too big and heavy of a scope to put on a gun with an inherently large bore/scope height. It just messed up the balance and made the gun harder to shoot. So, off came the X50 and on went my spare, a first gen SWFA SS 20x. And I'm surprisingly liking everything about it, except the image quality.

So, assuming the second gen SS is still murky and less than clear...

Does a scope exist with the following parameters.....
1. First and foremost is Clear glass (Athlon Midas Tac clarity or better and I'd be happy here)
2. 1/10 mil click values that are as trustable as the SWFA
3. Mil reticle of course
4. No longer than 14inches
5. No heavier than 22ounces
6. Objective bell of 42mm like the SS would be fine (does not have to be a big honking 50mm
7. Fixed power of at least 20x would be fine
8. If variable power, must be ffp
9. Would prefer non-Christmas tree reticle
10. Does not have to have illuminated reticle
11. Does not have to have a zero stop
12. 30mm tube (with the weight restriction, no 34mm would likely qualify anyway)

I'm tempted to just go with another 6-24 Midas Tac, but they're a bit bigger/heavier than I'd like for this rifles uses.

Suggestions?

A year in the rear view 😉

Sitting here getting the springers inspected and ready for the pesting season to kickoff at the dairy farms.
Starlings are already starting to flood in and the pigeons are in breeding mode.
Started looking at pictures from last year and realized I didn't take very many from last years pesting. Did take a few and

Just a look back at 2024!

New pest outside

Woke up late , well early since retirement about 9:30 went for coffee in a haze and saw a crow beneath feeder.
Huhh that ain’t a crow , Starlings!! Sh t wife won’t have any problem with culling them. Thats when I got to the guns
and the Rexy rpa airless, and the next closest the Akela red dot dead.

So question? Are Starlings observant or crow smart ?

First PCP package proposal: Sortie Tact + Pump

Hi again!

I posted an intro last week, and got an amazing welcome, and a ton of schooling. I'm one week deeper into the rabbit hole, and my mind is still blown. But, I need to ask some questions to learn.

I think I'm going ease my way into this mania gradually. I don't have the knowledge, experience or money to get what I mostly likely will soon want. So, here's what I'm thinking right now to get in.

Gun: Hatsan Sortie Tact, $300 new (Pyramyd)
Hill/Air Venturi mk5 hand pump, $75 (used, vg condition)

It's got iron sites, or I can try my cheap red dot I have on my shotgun. So, optics $0 for now.

Reasoning: I have pews. I'm still not sure where air rifles will fit into my life. I only have a few acres, so the noise reduction is a potential plus. So, I'm keeping it cheap while (I think) giving myself a real chance to see if I like PCPs.

The good: Semi auto in pistol (ish..18") or compact carbine format (25")... That sounds fun. And 300$?

The bad: I've read. Some reported issues. I own a Hatsan shotgun. It has problems. I need to dig into it. Maybe adding another Hatsan to my life will inspire me to do so. (Reading this back... Sounds like questionable reasoning, a little?)

The pump: people advise having a cheap eBay hand pump on hand anyway. This one seemed worth the marginal extra expense (I guess about $35 more than the cheapest currently on eBay).

Anyway, I'm still a noob, call me Grasshopper (Anyone remember the TV series Kung Fu?). I defer to the wisdom of the forum, and critique & guidance are well appreciated. Thanks!

Karma  My Micro Review of my 2025 Edition Karma Red Panda in .22

Here's my micro review of the 2025 edition of the Karma Red Panda Bench that I received two days ago. There is a noticeable "upgrade" from the 2024 version. At my request, my Panda is tuned for pellets.

I took it out of the box, there's rumors that I got a hernia, lifting it, out of the box, and cleaned the bore thoroughly, and filled it with air.
I first shot 38.6 grain AEA slugs. At 779 ft./s. I got 52 foot pounds. BC 0.078

With the JSB 33.965 grain pellets I got 842 ft./s with 53.5 ft. lbs. of energy And BC of 0.056

Both of these projectiles gave me extreme accuracy, literally pellet on pellet. I mean exactly pellet in the same hole, not a ragged hole as the other previous pallets. I started taking videos of this on my Zulus scope, but they were all the same. Every group I fired, was the same exact thing. I was shooting at 30 m. I'm going to move out to 50 tomorrow and I usually shoot at 50 every day.

Aside from being the most accurate PCP rifle I've ever even dreamed of, and I am especially OCD on accuracy at SD, the regulator was very stable with a tight, standard deviation, which I'm sure will only improve after it's broken in. The trigger pull from the factory came in at about a pound, and for now I'm gonna leave it at that because I didn't wanna change a thing on the gun. I have no need to do that. The power on the Red Panda is quickly and easily adjusted from very low to extremely high, depending on your preferences, and what you're shooting at.

The gun is very tunable without tools.

Note that the threaded adaptor is M18x1 not 1/2 UNF

This is obviously a bench gun. I don't believe anyone would carry this out in the field unless you had a decent sized stand set up and a sturdy tripod and called your target in.

Tomorrow if I can find the time to post, not only targets at 50 m, but the video from the Zulus proving it at which time you'll be able to hear the true ballistic chronograph spitting out the data.

I shoot every day in my backyard at 50 m for two or three hours competing against myself and for the last five weeks or so I've been solely focused on my favorite gun the K-1 in 22 caliber. So I put that aside and for the next few weeks, at least I'll shoot this behemoth at 50 m just so I can go "unbelievable unbelievable unbelievable" with each shot.

Many people know I'm an FX fanatic and I think they make the best product on the market in their dynamic block and I have several of those but my most accurate gun up to the time I acquired the Panda was a 30 caliber Kng GRS in Green Mountain, which gave me eight consecutive shots in one extremely clean, not frayed hole at 50m

I don't know whether that's a fluke and I just got a special King GRS but I'll take it as it is and that was out of the box. No changes to the tuning, totally amazing.

So I'll provide the actual data and imagery for this hopefully tomorrow or the next day but in closing I can say that this is one exceptional PCP rifle. And I don't think that there's any commercially available PCP rifle that's as accurate as this Red Panda.

It's so good that's for the first time in my life I'm actually considering entering a competition. I don't know what to do at a competition. I've never seen one and I've never been in one. I'm a little intimidated by the thought, but I'm not intimidated about the fact that I believe that my Red Panda will come away from the competition with stellar results. The hard part is my PTSD, being around people, having to travel and meet with strange people, and trying something that I've never tried before, but I'm gonna try to do it if I don't chicken out at the last minute. I'll have to find a competition close enough for me to drive to in New England because there's no way I want to get on an airplane again or go to an airport or at least a commercial airport. I just don't want to handle that. My kids are all pushing me to do a competition to help me step "across the line" of my service-connected PTSD.

I have a great deal of admiration for Donny Donnyfl Du, .and I'm very appreciative of all he's done for me to help me. Needless to say his products are definitely superior and I do everything I can to make other people aware of them because not only is he a real pleasure to do business with, I 've got to mention PJ as well, but the way they run their business, and the quality of their products is an example for others, especially to 2 PCP dealers I can think of in the American Southwest.

Thomas Air  Thomas HPX O-ring replacement

@reiffra945 and I just posted a video of our experience replacing the O-rings in my Thomas HPX. There wasn’t a lot of info out there on how to do this so hopefully this video may help other owners. BTW we are not experienced at doing this nor are we airsmiths nor do we even play one on TV.

I made one major mistake of NOT measuring the reg pressure BEFORE disassembling the reg. Had I done this first I would have saved a LOT of time as well as trial and error to get the reg back to the OEM setting.
