PCP Rifle  WTS RTI Priest 2 Performance .30/.177 package

This is the "performance" package on an RTI Priest 2. This is set up as a .30 right now. It will include the .177 LW barrel and pellet probe. It comes with a carbon fiber bottle upgrade and a large plenum for extra power and higher shot count. The gun is in good shape. This gun is easy to tune and has regulator adjustment right on the bottle. It can be adjusted up AND down without degassing. An advantage over other comparable guns. Also, this gun has a second foster fitting to enable easy tethering. This has a threaded end cap to accept a moderator. This gun functions properly and has been trouble-free. Comes without scope. Includes 5 magazines. $950-1250, depending on what parts you want with it. Message me to work something out.

N/A  Looking for input

Hey Guys,

Looking for a little input…..

I am getting a new .30 shooter for myself (no kids, wife etc. will get their paws on it)!!!

Torn between the:
FX M4 Sniper
The new Brocock Sonoran .30 (Derrick Wall would tune it for me for a bit more power and shot count)
Daystate Blackwolf Hi-lite carbon (downside to this one is no idea how long the wait would be)

My only real issue with the M4 is would it do anything better than my MK2 or M3 .30 or is it just me wanting it because it is the newest model?

The Sonoran I think is a great option but have heard guys with bad experiences with the Sub MOA barrels (I am sure Derrick would not let that happen but just have heard some mixed reviews) also the stock to me is just plain.

The Blackwolf really is just how long it would take to get and being a brand new endeavor by DayState what issues might arise (would do the 28 inch barrel most likely) plus let’s face it that one is NOT cheap!

Let me know what you guys think…..

Appreciate it!

Beeman  How old is your R9/HW95?

I picked this up a couple years ago as a basket case. Was completely disassembled with a broken spring on American Airguns classified. Yeah I took a chance and it worked out! Lol
Have it kinda soft tuned at 14.5fpe with FTT 11.42 grain. Thing is a laser!
Added front screw cups and a straight setback Rowan engineering trigger I had laying around. Have it listed in the HW database and was made in 1996 so it's in the second year of production for the R9/HW95! Anyone have one older?

Scope? Time to replace?

First and foremost, thanks for any and all replies/advise.
My frustration is growing with each target. The poi is not good. I have a break barrel .177 Umarex/Ruger Blackehawk, and mounted the scope that came with it. Had a lot of trouble getting in the bullseye. Ran out of elevation adjustment, and had to shim the rear mount to get it in. Shot from a bag rest, Homemade, and finally got a good group. The weather went way to cold for my liking so its been a few days in the house. Finally got out yesterday and tried to take out some starlings, didn't happen. So got a bore sighter and waited for the sun to go down. Set the cross hairs right on the dot, at the same distance I shoot targets (75ft). Today I went out and set out a target, not even close to the bullseye. made several shots from the bag rest before making any adjustments. Made (extreme adjustments) 16 to 18 clicks on both windage and elevation. Not much change to the poi, I think this scope has failed (4x32). I have to wear corrective glasses, so I think part of the issue is not getting a good view (focus) of the target or say the starling.

So is it time to replace and with what type of scope. Fixed focus or adjustable.

Thanks

Other  Where do all the old air guns go to die?

I am a collector, builder and just straight up crazy tinker. I have a passion to create something from stuff that others have lost interest in or discarded, even past functioning (broken). I can find many a springer but not finding any pcp's. Are there not as many out there in the wild to be had. Maybe all the pre charged guys collectors as well?

Another post reminded me of a funny story

I bought a used airgun from an individual online, the guy also included a few tins of pellets with it.

When the package arrived, the barrel of the gun was sticking out of a gaping hole in the box by about 6-8“ and the UPS driver told he would need me to open it and check the contents. Upon opening it, the guy had put the bare gun in the box, with zero packing material, just gun and box! He had stacked the pellet tins and taped them together with blue masking tape, completely covering them. So loose gun and loose pellets in an otherwise empty box. We quickly cut the box open to find the beautifully wood stocked DS Huntsman in absolutely perfect condition, no kidding! Not a mark on it. In the past i've posted pics of it saying it was the most beautiful stock on a DS i'd ever seen. How it survived with the pellets bouncing around is amazing. The UPS driver was also amazed and took pics of it to show his buddies.

The rest of the story is my next door neighbor saw the stock and had to have it, so i later sold it to him. Now, he's not the type to take care of things and the last time i saw that gorgeous gun, that had made a long UPS ride bare in a box, it looked like it had been drug behind a car! More damage done in a few hundred yards from my house to his than shipping across country... go figure!

FX  Fx impact m4

Has anyone had quality control issues with their fx impact m4. I bought this less than a month ago and I noticed the grip was moving. I took it off and the hole was boogered and the bolt that was holding it was to short. I put another grip and it tightened up no problem. Then I bought a new saber tactical bag rider and took the side plates off and noticed the holes weren't drilled center. Contacted Utah airguns and wouldn't warranty the parts. This is a shame to spend over $2k and won't stand behind their 3 year warranty when this is clearly manufacturer defects.

Blackwolf Rising

_66V2322.JPG

The Blackwolf is amongst us! Launched at the British Shooting Show, the new Daystate rifle is already arriving at Airguns of Arizona with the new rifle selling out before shipments arrive. Production is to be stepped up with the next shipment leaving the UK at the end of next week, and them another interim shipment planned shortly after. With a compleatly new rifle initial production is always cautious as you don’t want to risk any mistakes and risk the reputation of the model.

Its a great relief to be able to talk about and post on a rifle on which I saw the first AutoCAD animation in Dec 2021 in designer Adriano Nodari's Brescia office, and which I know had been worked on for at least a year before that. These things take time, though much quicker than Wolverine which took 6 years!

I’ve personally been shooting one since last summer, but only saw the finished stock in December, which is the way with stocks designed on CAD and made by CNC: you have none and then you have a hundred!

There are 16 points which we are talking about, many of them you could say can be found on other Daystate and BRK, but what is unique to Blackwolf is all of them in one place. The trigger for example is matched by the Red and Delta Wolf triggers, but this is a mechanical unit and certainly the best Daystate mechanical trigger of all time (yes, I include the CR-X). Other new features have been in consideration for years, the titanium valve was first tried on the MK4, but didn’t have enough benefits to cover the cost, but when combined with the balanced valve from the Delta Wolf and Ghost which has a more substantial valve stem, the weight saving and added strength gives a big benefit on Blackwolf, especially on the High Power models which at AofA has just hit 155 ft/lbs in a tuned .30 version.

Developing brand new models by what is a small company in a niche market that is air gunning and at the top end of the market is a risky and expensive business and there are not too many who can a) afford it b) have the knowledge of what can be done, so I hope you do understand why so few airgun companies are innovating to this level.

I hope this gives you an insight into the thinking behind the rifle and will keep an eye on this thread and answer some of the questions you may have.

Crosman parts

Has anybody else tried to order Crosman parts lately? I have the 800 phone number, I call Morning, Noon, night, wee hours of the morning, doesn't matter it's always busy and then hangs up. This has been going on for over a month so I wonder if we can even get Crosman or Benjamin parts anymore other than the very limited supply that PA has.

Other  Old newby.

I’m a new member trying to get informed on current technology. I wore out a Sheridan blue stream in my teenage years and bought a silver streak after marriage 50 yrs ago and still shoot a little. I tried a ruger air piston rifle two years ago thinking I could get better accuracy. Mistake. I’m now researching what I hope will be my answer in a pcp rifle. I’ve been looking at a stoeger XM1 ranger and like the feature but am open to suggestions for similar quality rifle. Use will targets and small pests.
thanks Jim.
