Man" does this bring back memory's"

I was trying to clean up my gun room off and on for the last 3 days.Any hoot tucked in the corner with a cover half over it,i pulled out a old Daisy bb gun.I can't even remember were i got it?Well anyhoot cocked it and it firied"put a little trans oil in the oil hole on top and loaded it up.Man it fired harder then my co/2 bb and i hit a can too" man that did bring back some memory's?They did have a fancyer model their,i think it was the Red Rider model.Mine was $4.00 and that model was i think was $6.00 bucks.Mine had a plastic stock.I no this is going to sound a little weird to some of ya?but it took me 3 months to get it"i would bring in 25cents to 75cents a week.man when your only 8 years old and no body give's hist" you are a kid so pop bottle's and beer bottles down by the rail road tracks. That was pretty cool that old man would give me a reciept each time i would bring in some money.I think he gave me some bb with it?i wont go into the story about the pellet gun,but i carried buckets of water behind a building to the front to water plants .When i was all done the owner would give in 500 22cal. Benjamin pellets.Id open it up and small the peanut oil.God i hope the spell police are not out??

FX  Impact m4 micro won't move

I was trying to set up a new tune for a light pellet. I wanted the micro at 1 - 1.5 as a starting point.

I moved the micro down from 3.0 by spinning the micro adjuster but it stopped moving once I got below 1.5.

Now it won't move at all!

It won't move with macro rotation either up or down and the same with the micro adjuster either left or right.

Help, please.

Thanks

Plenum Volume Confusion

Ive seen this stated many times. More plenum volume gives a higher shot count along with higher velocity. Logic tells me other wise.

I'm pulling these numbers out of my @$$

If you have 600 CC tank and 5cc plenum = 120 shots

Now you add a external plenum which increases plenum volume to 15cc........that extra air in the plenum would certainly increase velocity.....but 600 CD tank divided by 15cc plenum equals 40 shots .....

This in in a perfect world where no more air leaves the tank and goes thru the plenum and with the projectile out the bore

Am I wrong?

PCP Rifle  NLA 30cal FX Impact 700mm $1,600 + FX Panthera 30cal 700mm and 395mm $1,250

Welp. Time to let one of them go. Not to partial on which one goes but there is something else that has peaked my interests.

2 complete barrel kits, One is a 700mm with 1/24 liner with Bonded carbon liner, 2nd is a 700mm with 1/16 liner with Unbonded carbon liner. Both are complete kits from barrel to shroud. i found it easier to swap barrels then pull the liners.
Slug power kit installed, tungsten hammer, pin probe, tuning spring, huma second reg installed, Backbone top rail, st bag rider, st arca swiss 2 bottom rail,, also have a bc carbon fiber barrel tensioner with shroud that is not installed. 6 mags.Currently tuned to shoot rmr slugs. One is a 700MM 1/16 liner and carbon sleeve with xl magnum plenum, second is factory 395 barrel plenum plenum and shroud. Has 14.5 8mm hammer wieght installed, Slug pin probe, updated reinforced valve installled. I also have to tool from 910 if u ever need to service,St bag rider. Asking 1600.
Both rifles shoot outstanding and are ready to shoot. A obvious retune will be needed if you decide to go with a differnt load then what they are shooting now...Im up for negotiating . Here is a few picks i have on hand in my phone but more then welcome to send anyone interested as many photos as they would like. I think my prices are fair considering what some are selling for more with less. Feel free to inbox and we can exchange information . Thanks for looking

Bum Bag Suppliers?

Hello All,
Ive been wanting to pick up a bum bag for quite some time. I have only found two resources but now down to just one.
Looks like Creedmore discontinued their bum bags so its just AoA and the Primal. I dont really care for the look of that one and really wanted the Creedmore one.
Anyone know of other suppliers? A google search did not reveal anything.
Thanks

Air Venturi  New Avenger Owner

Well one of the members here had a great deal on a .177 avenger and I couldn't pass it up. I purchased this for pest control I do at a pig/cattle farm locally and I think once I tune it up, it will work perfect.

Currently I use a .22 FX Crown for all my pesting and it works great but is overkill at 30ftlbs for sparrows (mostly what I shoot). Most of the shots are 25-75y with the bulk being around 50y. Over the last couple years of being there I decided a powerful accurate. 177 would be my best bet...

Tuning... I looked all over for some type of guide for .177 with really no avail. Since I know these run super hot, I plan to use a 13+ grain pellet or slug. When I recieved the rifle, it was set with the reg at around 1600psi and no idea on the hammer spring..yet. however I couldn't get really decent groups with any weight pellet until I gave the reg a boost to 1800psi and the hammer spring a 1/4 turn in. Currently shooting 10.65gr Baracudas at 925fps (a little hot) but accurate to 50y.

I'm going to try to redneck document everything for the tuning process (within reason) due to the lack info out there on the 177 platform. I have a new shipment of projectiles I'm going to work on (and a new chrono) to hopefully get this thing launching some heavy pellets or slugs at a decent speed.

If anyone has suggestions on tuning settings for the 177, or what your getting, please let me know. Overall, I'm in love with the shot cycling and trigger weight. Such a fun rifle to shoot and with the Tatsu it's quiet, at least for now lol. PS: Don't mind the horrible mess in the picture I just took one quickly for the post!

GX EL portable cordless compressor?

Does anyone have any experience with this compressor? This is the first compressor I am seeing that runs on its own battery. That would be an absolute game changer for me in the field. At the moment I am bringing my small orange Chinese compressor to my truck, walking back and forth from the truck to refill. It isn’t really a fun process. If anyone has anything to say about this compressor I am all ears! Thanks!

Knurling Slugs - Is it the Solution?

I am intrigued by the folks knurling or canneluring slugs. Is it THE solution for a better all-around fit to most barrels rather than specific diameter slugs? I have been disappointed in my attempts to try .22 and .25 slugs - I never seem to have the right size and they shoot like open-choke shotguns at rather short ranges. I can never seem to get them to workout, granted I get quickly discouraged and go back to pellets. I was thinking, though, if knurling or canneluring slugs creates an oversize slug that fits easily into many bore size and easily adapts/crushes to the right size, this technique might be the solution. What do you think?

Bi-Pod

Those of you that have bi-pods on your rifles is there one that you really like? I have rests and bags, but I hate packing them up to take to the range. This is not for anything like benchers shooting, but I also don't want some wobbly set either. I have looked online and there are sets all over the price range, but without seeing one I hate to drop hundreds of dollars only to find out that I really don't like it.

Thanks,

Jerry

New SWFA SS Gen 2 Scopes

Looks like SWFA came out with their SWFA SS Gen 2 series of optics with zero stop and modular turrets. Anyone have them or checked them out yet? I need to replace some of my old optics on my airguns. Hopefully they're still made in Japan like their original lineup.

Corbin is now selling .218 rebated boat tail slugs

For all of you longer range .22 caliber slug shooters, Corbin is offering and selling .218 sized rebated boat tail slugs in 28 and 34 grains. It comes to $0.13 each which isn't comparatively cheap to a strait walled slug, but may fly exceptional with the right barrel and tune.

Hunter Field Target "Shooting Sticks"

I have been looking more at the hunter side of things to get people into shooting, and making it a little easier for people to shoot. That had me thinking about different shooting sticks. I see MANY people using the Primos shooting sticks and some using just sticks that they have made. That got me to wondering about something different....... are you unable to have the sticks attached to the rifle?

What I was thinking was I have a large tripod that I would be able to remove a leg from.

Just trying to think of things that I already have instead of having to buy more things.
