PCP Rifle  NLA Benjamin Marauder .25

This is one of the first production .25 caliber Marauders that Crosman built, that got to me a couple days before leaving for S. Africa where it took literally hundreds of pigeons, and many hyrax and spring hares. This gun has been my main rifle on several prairie dog hunts, and other small game hunts over the years. But it has not been used in approximately 10 years and needs to go where it will be shot, it's a hunting machine. The camo is effective. I painted the stock, and the metal work is wrapped in camo fabric tape. I want $250 and will cover shipping in CONUS, payment by Paypal or Venmo.

PCP Rifle  NLA Crown MK2 in 25 caliber with GRS stock with a 500 mm barrel

I own 3 crowns love them all.. this rifle has less than 500 pellets shot thru it...Would like a trade for a 30cal ..500 mm barrel Panthera..since my gun cost more ..I still consider it a even trade..would like a fair trade..no money involved except we each pay for shipping.

Moderator with built in Chrono

What started out as curiosity about the feasibility of adding a chronograph to a moderator has turned into a bit of a passion project for me. The concept is pretty straightforward: make an airgun moderator that has a chronograph and display built in. As it turns out, the implementation is harder than I thought. But it has been a fun chance to learn more about microcontrollers, photosensors, principles of sound reduction, engineering and design, etc., etc. There is way more to all this stuff than you would think.

For example just trying to accurately measure the dB level of a shot is quite complicated. You can quickly go down a rabbit hole. Most decibel meters have a FAST (.125 seconds) and SLOW (1 second) selection. The peak amplitude of an airgun shot is only a few milliseconds in duration. Depending on how the meter samples during its "selection period" (either fast or slow), you might entirely miss the peak. There are meters with an IMPULSE selection meant for capturing those types of sounds, but they are thousands of dollars. Either way a process that seemed like it should be simple and straightforward ends up being significantly more complicated the further you get into it.

It's given me a renewed appreciation for the folks in this industry that have come up with really elegant and high-performing products. They have put more research and work in behind the scenes than we probably suspect.

Anyway thought I would document this ongoing project here. Not sure if it's of general interest, but for any that might be interested in following along I'll try to keep updating as I make progress. Quick video below of the current state of the project:

PCP Rifle  NLA Benjamin Marauder in bespoke Chavka stock

This is a rifle that has been in my collection for a few years, and has been in several videos and articles. The Marauder is one that I brought on a couple of my early S. African airgun hunts, and the stock was custom built for me by Michael Chavka..... it is worth more than the rifle. The gun is in good conditions, a couple minor dings, but nothing that stands out. Asking $500.00, I will cover shipping in CONUS. Payment by Paypal or Venmo.

Anyone else NOT grow up shooting?

I’ve been wondering this. I’ll often see folks here on AGN mention that they grew up with PBs and found airguns later in life, or had a Daisy as a kid and have been collecting airguns ever since.

My situation is a little different. I grew up in a city. There was no Daisy in my youth. I went hunting maybe twice as a kid with relatives in Virginia. Took a few trips to gun ranges here and there with friends in my twenties, but it was always a novelty. It wasn’t until I came to my senses and moved myself and my family upstate to the woods, where all my neighbors hunt, that I got interested in shooting. That was about 5 years ago, and I’m about to be 34, so my discovery of guns (both PBs and airguns) happened relatively late. Needless to say it’s changed my life.

Just curious if anyone else here has a similar experience.

Lots of AI bots on here lately it seems

PCP Rifle  SOLD [SOLD] Very nice Edgun Leshiy 2 Raptor 0.22 350mm Python Cowboy Edition w/ 350cc Bottle & Huma Mod40

[No trade offers on this listing please...]

Hello AGN,

I'm looking to sell a very nice Edgun Leshiy 2 0.22 Caliber 350mm w/ Huma RAPTOR regulator, Huma Mod-40 4 section moderator, 350cc 300Bar CF bottle, 2 black magazines w/ updated (easy to remove) magnetic mag covers, Jack.K magnetic magazine holder, 17mm extended locking pin, HUMA one-piece fill probe & hard plastic padded rifle case.

In this configuration, this Leshiy 2 is set up very much like the $3,049 Python Cowboy Edition (the main differences are: the Python Cowboy comes with the older REPR reg, the smaller (less effective) Mod-30 moderator and a slightly longer handguard). Rifle is currently shooting the JSB 18.13g pellets at ~880fps through the 350mm Alfa Precision barrel with very good accuracy. It has 1.2 and 1.0 jets installed along with the dog bone and collar for better ES consistency for this smaller caliber. The Raptor regulator is very easy to adjust without the need for any special tools - it is currently set at around 110-115bar so there's still plenty of power to spare if you ever need it.

Rifle is in great condition as shown in the photos; the air tubes, butt stock and front sections of the Huma Mod-340 LDC have been carefully wrapped in an automotive grade carbon fiber vinyl wrap that looks great but can also be easily removed without any residue if you don't want it. This is a field rifle with some minor marks here and there but nothing significant. Rifle holds air, cycles, functions as it should and will ship in a hard plastic rifle case with plenty of padding.

To summarize, this awesome L2 package comes with everything listed below:
  • Upgraded (Python Cowboy Edition-like) Leshiy 2 0.22 350mm Alfa Precision w/ 350cc 300bar carbon fiber bottle
  • Huma Mod-40 4 section moderator
  • 2 black 8 shot magazines
  • 2 updated (easy to remove) magnetic magazine covers
  • 1 Jack.k under the scope magnetic magazine holder
  • 17mm extended locking pin
  • Huma one-piece fill probe
  • Magnet for magazine cover removal (if needed)
  • Carbon fiber vinyl wrap on Huma Mod-40 front sections, air tubes and buttstock
  • Hard plastic padded rifle case
Again, as configured, this setup is essentially the Leshiy 2 Python Cowboy Edition model that currently sells for $3,049 at Edgunwest.com so you're looking at about $3,350 after taxes!!! Please keep in mind that my rifle comes with the newer Raptor regulator and a better Huma Mod-40 LDC.

Price here is FIRM at $2,100 + 1/2 actual shipping

Local pickup is available in the SF Bay Area - otherwise, payment by Paypal Friends & Family is preferred (or add 3.5% if using PP Goods & Services). I have plenty of feedback both here and dating back to the Yellow Forum so please feel free to do your due diligence and know that you're dealing with a reputable trader.

For your viewing pleasure

This is a collection of short videos of pesting trash pandas. Mostly successful, but also a missed opportunity or 2 . Taipan vet 25 cal. 15 yards. 34g JSB at 730 FPS for 40 FPE. Enjoy! NOTE: I've been asked often, these videos are a result of my cave man understanding of my equipment. Video is taken from a pard 007, then then uploaded to my PC, then I record my edited video with my phone from the computer screen as you can see. So in essence, the video has been recorded twice through 3 different media. Probably suffer on longer range stuff with the picture quality, but will have to experiment.

PCP Rifle  SOLD Taipan Veteran Long Grey Laminate .25 (w Huma Reg and Sumo .30) *** REDUCED ***

- Price #2: $900 (everything below ** excluding** Sumo .30 and Sumo Shroud Adapter)

Email: [email protected].

$1000 Price includes everything below:
  • Taipan Veteran Long Grey Laminate .25 with Huma Reg and Pic Rail installed.
  • (3) 10-shot Magazines
  • DonnyFl Sumo .30 moderator and Shroud Adapter (installed).
  • Single-shot tray.
  • (3) QC Taipan Fill Probes.
  • Huma Reg Rebuild Set
  • Original regulator and plenum
  • Original o-rings
  • Original shroud endcap and endcap pins.
  • Original Hammer Spring Dialer, Pins and Degas Screw.
  • DonnyFL Shroud Adapter Thread Cove
  • User Manual
  • Original box/shipping carton.

Note: Scope, rings and bipod not included but could be purchased separately.

I purchased this Taipan Veteran Long Grey Laminate .25 new, in 2020 from Charlie Frear at Georgia Airguns. Charlie tuned, tested and also installed a picatinny rail for bipod. Once received, I installed a Huma Regulator and set it at 130 bar. In addition, I also replaced the original Taipan Dialer with a DonnyFL Speed Dialer. The Taipan works perfectly and the trigger is outstanding!

This gun is extremely accurate and can easily get many 1/2" groups at 50 yards with both the JSB 25.39 and JSB 33.95. It is the most accurate PCP I've owned and the one I compared all my other's to.

The Huma Regulator is set at 130 bar and DonnyFL Speed Dialer currently on max at about 880 fps with JSB 34's for about 58 ft/lbs. I can easily turn it down with the Speed Dialer when shooting the JSB 25.39's. I've added some tape with numbers to repeat Speed Dialer settings (see pic). With the JSB 34's I can get and average of 880 fps, 14 ES, and 3.1 SD for 30 shots. The JSB 25's do better with an SD under 3.0!

It should be noted that it has a very small approximate 1" scratch on the shroud just below the front of the scope (see pics). It may have been there when I purchased it, or after adding the scope. I did not notice it initially.

Chilly , chill Paradigm and Peri morning 🌄

Cooked up a nice hardy breakfast per usual, made my double cup off coffee, poured it into my Yeti and took Peri for a jaunt through the woods.(I feel that if I don't include peri in my posts now I may disappoint a handful btw)

When I got back I said Peri what do you think about some Paradigm time? Of course she said let's rock and roll.

Against my better judgement I decided to make an adjustment to the paradigm , I turned the reg up some the night before, well, what a great idea.

I brought the speed from 855 to 875 , it's still consistent , the rifle sounds better though, it's also more consistently accurate.

I do feel these groups could have been .5 moa or better had it not been 25 degrees and I am still fighting the valdada bipod, it's rigidity and stability is unmatched except for the plastic feet on a plastic table, the foot design on the bipod needs work. It's like having two credit cards together with water between them. I am going to try some non skid tape that is used on utility truck decking to see if it makes a difference.

Anyways, enjoy the pics, get out and shoot, chilly weather doesn't stop us here.

FX  NRL22 with an air rifle

Good morning everyone;

Next year I am planning of joining the NRL22 group at my club, but instead of shooting a .22LR rifle, I will shoot a .22 air rifle either my FX Dreamline (500mm) or my FX Crown (600). I checked out some of their previous stages and their longest distance is around 100 yard with a 2 ½ inch target. I am looking for your advice on:

  • Pellet or slug?
  • Weight?
  • Velocity?
Thank you. Much appreciate your help.

Expensive oring

So went to replace the gauge that stopped working on my Yong heng. Put new gauge on, put test plug in on the second filter and fired it up. Got up to about 3000 and then bang and it looses pressure. Started checking connections and couldn’t find a leak. Finally figured out the burst disk blew and replaced the disk. Fired compressor back up and no pressure. So I fooled around with it for a couple of nights and couldn’t figure out where the leak was. Finally gave up and just ordered a new one since this one is over 5 years old. Got the new compressor yesterday filled with oil, ran it for 10 minutes under no pressure. Then put test plug in and fire it up… NO PRESSURE! What the……… Started checking all connections again. Don t see anything. Happen to take the test plug out and……. Torn oring comes out with the test plug.. Replace oring and guess what, it builds pressure. So just to check reconnect old compressor and it builds pressure. Boy did I feel like a fool. That oring turned out to be expensive. Top it all off I had put the batteries from the temp gauge on old compressor in new compressor. Picked up new batteries today. Went to put new batteries in temp gauge on new compressor. When popping out the gauge doesn’t it all fall apart and fall inside the new compressor. Took the cover off and got all the pieces out but now its not working so I have to order another temp gauge. I had a few days of bad luck with these things. Maybe I was just rushing.. Trying to get things done since I’m going to be out of commission for a month or so due to a medical procedure I’m having next week.

FX  Impact Stripped Top Rail Threads

I have two M3's and both of them have stripped one M3 thread in different locations along the top rail. The very first time I took apart my M3 and removed the top rail I immediately noticed how shallow those M3 top rail screws are. I make it a point to use my torque driver and only use 10 in lbs when threading those in. The top rail is 8mm thick with a 3mm counter sink. So the M3 x 8mm screws are only threading into the module under the rail with 3mm of M3 thread. That's not a lot considering the alignment of the entire gun is dependent on that top rail keeping all of those modules tight and straight. FX really could have gone another 4mm and used M3 x 12mm instead so that we can get some torque on those screws.

Anybody else run into this?
