Is it possible to have TOO MUCH gun??

Ok, here's the deal some of you know that I attempt to shoot ground squirrels, but I'm having quite a few that are hit disappear, and the ones that are killed, I'm seeing the projectile go right through them, now most are young ones so they don't have the bulk of an adult but instead of me chasing more power and more expansion, do you all think I should back off? I'm using .25 33.9gr pellets and 26gr slugs at 1040.

TIA

FX  New member and new PCP owner

Hi all,
I recently bought an FX Dynamic Express .30 (600mm) and I am excited to see what I can do with it. I have been shooting 22LR for years but decided I wanted to try airgunning since the technology has come so far. Being an newbie to PCP air rifles, I have a question:

Do I need to do anything to maintain the rubber breech seal. It looks like a high wear item so I am wondering if I should put silicon oil or ballistol on it periodically.

Kudos to FX for making such a great product. I am honestly thrilled with it after the 120 or so slugs I have shot out of it already. The only things I would have changed so far is to have it ship with two magazines and a baggie of extra seals (like every other manufacturer does) but now I'm just nitpicking.

Thank you all and glad to be here.

Getting back into shooting after a long hiatus!

Rob in PGH my old login. Hey Now, it's been around decade or more since I've been actively shooting or posting on a regular basis. Hopefully gonna be doing more of that from now on out. I'm not seeing many of the logins I remember but I have a memory that is not good anymore. My memory is so bad I forgot the names of a couple airguns I currently own. So I am somewhat unfamiliar with who is left in this hobby, industry and events.

Been going through my collection fixing seals, triggers and taking inventory.

USFT needs resealed
Styer and HW30s needs trigger work.
Paul Watts R7 needs forearm of stock fixed.
Hammerli 850 & MA2550 needs resealed
Izh 61 needs new spring replaced
2nd Twinmaster has to go to AZ
FWB 603 jr and FWB 103 needs some attention

A bunch of us had a shoot this past Sunday. It was good to get together with people and guns I have not seen in about six years. We had a good time.

So I never fixed that itch for a PCP pistol and an Edgun. Gonna start the financial quest for a .25 Edgun Leshiy 2.

One advance in technology that is well appreciated is the cost and availability of affordable compressors. I have a GX4 on the way now!

PCP Rifle  SOLD Crosman Challenger 2021

This is a beautifully accurate rifle and has one of the best triggers in airgunning. Capable of single hole groups at way farther than ever designed for.
It comes with all the acc's as it originally came with, ie competition sights and butt/cheekpiece riser extension, and knee riser.
Beautiful rifle.
$600 plus shipping

I also might be interested in FX Impact Mk2 parts, ie. barrels, magazines, customizing stuff, most anything.

After shooting the Taurus for a year I finally got this rifle figured out, I’m shooting 173 grains Mr. hollow points at around 930 ft./s this thing is a beast, at 50 yards is basically the same hole4 shots. I had some issues , but that was user error. My favorite regarding the tourist is the fact that I could put it away for 3-6months. It doesn’t lose 1 pound of air and no stiction. After dealing with another 357 for years, nothing but leaks and empty promises. It’s a breath of fresh air being able to pick this gun up at any time and not have to worry about being empty.

Umarex  Official Umarex Notos parts list and schematic diagram in PDF format.

After many email requests with Umarex USA, they finally sent me the parts list and the schematic diagram for the .22 Notos. So here they are in PDF format and I hope that it will be useful to some of you especially about the o'ring sizes.

Other  Drozd Blackbird

Anyone else lucky enough to have one of these ? They are very hard to come by now even in the stock configuration. This one here took some time and $ and is powered by on board Hpa and 20 volt. fully modified by Mason Dawson .(the master of these things in the US) it's capable of shooting bbs at extremely high fire rates of 1k-4k rounds per minute. At over 850FPS With options for semi burst and fully automatic. Truely the most Devastating and dangerous bb gun .This is my first video showing it off a bit ,having fun with 1kRPM!

PCP Rifle  SOLD HMX1000 .22

I have a full package going up for sale!
The air rifle is my hmx1000 raw which is heavily modified to be the highest power RAW on the market currently. With a large titanium power plenum and modified hammer spring this gun will easily push 80ftlbs but lives happiest around 70. It also has a 700cc air marksman bottle and Arken ep5 5-25. It has the updated cocking handle for the new guns aswell. I have a 700mm LW barrel which needs slight modification to work perfect. With the longer barrel this gun will be an absolute cannon!
Also for sale is my daystate 110v leggro compressor. This deal can be broken up separately or sold as a package. For just the RAW with optics it would be 1,800. The compressor alone is 1,800 purchased for 2,700. As a package deal this would be 3,000 you would pay shipping, it would be shipped through AOA.

Do you have airguns sitting in limbo (in need of repair)?

Do any of you have airguns sitting on the side that need minor or major repair that are neglected? I was just thinking about this for the past couple days. I guess this thread should be more about procrastination or not having or making the time to work on them. Here's my list; What's yours?

AAA Paradigm .22:
My Paradigm finally leaked. I have all the o-rings to replace any damaged ones. Just need to make time.

Edgun Leshiy Classic .22:
My Leshiy Classic has been shooting erratically and not where it was before. I'm pretty sure the regulator just needs to be rebuilt. Got all the o-rings. Just need to make the time.

Daystate Huntsman Regal XL .22:
Actually, nothing is wrong with the gun itself. It's just the scope that's mounted on it. I have an SWFA fixed 10X Side Focus that developed some specs/flakes in the lens that bothers me. I love looking through good glass and right now, it's disgusting to look through. The gun just sits on the side for now until I get a new scope. I'm still trying to decide what scope to put on it.

Edgun R5M Matador .25:
The right side cocking handle spring broke on my R5M. The gun will still shoot and is not totally out of commission. The cocking handle just doesn't spring forward and has to be pushed forward to latch it in place. This nis the third time the spring on the right side broke. I have replacement springs but I just have to get around to changing it out.

AAA Evol Mini .22:
Like my Hunstman, nothing is actually wrong with the gun itself. It's the scope that I had mounted on it. My March Highmaster 4.5-28x52 scope developed some problems with the elevation turret. All of sudden, it became hard to adjust. It's under warranty and I just need to pack it up and ship it off to Japan for repair. I hate going to the post office! Right now, I have an Athlon Cronus BTR Gen 2 4.5-29x56 mounted on it but the gun is super heavy with that big ass scope and the glass is not as nice compared to my March Highmaster that I had on it.

HW/Weihrauch  .20 Caliber HW77K

Hey Guys,
I may regret this, but I just ordered a Weihrauch 77K in .20 caliber at AoA :) .
It's a pre-order, so it may not arrive until next year; only out $25 until it's shipped.

I've had two HW77K's before and sold them:unsure:, but hoping the .20 caliber suits the platform better.
I will tune it to shoot 13.73 JSB's about 735/750 fps, so it will likely be pretty snappy.
From my past tuning, the HW77K's make a little more power than the HW95 and HW97 using the same spring.

Umarex  Notos Porting

I couldn't let y'all have all the fun so I picked one of these up over labor day weekend. Great little plinker! Of course I couldn't leave it alone... had to open it up and start messing with stuff.

Looked like it needed some porting... so I opened up the barrel, body, and valve body to 4.2mm. Also opened up that tiny hole between the plenum and valve... I don't know the size exactly but maybe 6mm. Deburring the sharp edges was basically brain surgery... but It worked out with no damage.

Some eNgInEeR decided to put an oddball extra tiny oring on the barrel... along with sharp edges to cut them. That was nice. I just machined the grooves in the barrel to accept a 1x10 oring, rather than find a source, pay too much, and wait days for replacements.

Results. I did not touch the reg, and the hammer spring is exactly back where it was. 20% more FPE! Nice! That was worth the effort.

Hmm... what to do next...

Huben  Huben gk1 rifle interest

Does anyone else love their gk1? I know I do!

I was posting to see I'd there is anyone else interested in building a rifle version of the gk1/k1?

I bought the k1 when I was waiting on my gk1 and I didn't care for my cheek being on top of the mag but it was a nice pcp. I see these sidewinders, rattlers, k1s, are all pups with right handed shooters in mind. I like the idea of having a rifle version so the action is in front on my face instead of on it, maybe even a fancy wood stock like the paradigm and a chassis version for the other crowd. Hopefully it will have an ambidextrous saftey 🤞.

Is there anyone else out there that would like to see something similar? Or is this too close to the leishy 2 for much interest?

Any additional ideas for the rifle build from the other forum members here?

P.s. if anyone is on the edge about getting a gk1, I strongly suggest you go over to Kelly's site and buy 1. She's a keeper for sure and Kelly has excellent customer service and is very responsive to questions.

USFT  USFT fill port problem?

So it's been a buncha years since I was active on any of these boards. I'm resurrecting some of my shooters and selling a few in the collection safe to start up again.

Maintenence is first.

I went to fill my USFT and the fill port is leaking upon filling. I'm guessing it is an easy fix if I can find the part. Where would one acquire this part. If even possible.

Thanks in advance.

Traditional Rifle  SOLD Cometa Fenix 400 USC Star, .177

Here's a lightly -- and lovingly -- used Cometa 400 Fenix USC Star in .177 that needs a new home. It's a lovely carbine and nicely accurate. If I weren't preparing to move to another state, I wouldn't let it go. Got from Keystone --great dealer! Extremely light handling marks and an odd scratch on the left side above the trigger guard. I have no idea how it got there. Asking $250 shipped insured.
