Sprained my wallet

Just went to buy some pellets.

My HW100 only shoots pin point with Air Arms Diabolo Field, the .177 sized to 4.52mm

My HW57 only shoots straight with RWS Field Line .177

Last time I purchased any pellets, I paid £28 ish for 2 tins of AA and one tin of RWS...

... today I paid £38.48 for exactly the same order.

Thats around a 40% price increase.

Anyone know where you can get online (UK) air gun pellets because at those prices, its going to be cheaper to buy a swage and press my own.

Riddle me this

Why on earth are 99% of all Airguns STILL come with an 11mm dovetail mounts!

When 99% of your decent scopes have 22mm scope rings on them.

I can’t find any quality scope rings that will fit both a 1in tube of the scope and have 11mm mounts. 😡😡😡😡😡

Always have to use an adapter. Which of course raises the scope higher up. Then I tend to need a cheak rest to compensate………

PCP Rifle  WTS Texan LSS CF, Skout Epoch, Pressslug & dies.

I thought I would have the time but I don’t. I got carried away and bought a bunch of stuff. I have a Texan LSS CF .457 and I have an Skout Epoch in a 22 with a .30 barrel and liner. The Skout is the long barrels and not the short one. I always have a pressslug press and 2 dies. 1 in a .22 and 1 in a .30 I live south of Chicago 30 miles. The Texan I shot 5 rounds and the Skout 10 rounds in the .22. Not a fan of shipping, rather do a face to face at my local PD station for everyone’s safety and ease. Message me if interested. Asking $3,500 for everything. Attached is a pic is the SKOUT Epoch and extra barrel and the Pressslug. The pressslug has .22 and .30 dies with 10# of lead wire for each.

N/A  New member requesting notos bottle conversion

New member. New pcp gun enthusiast looking to buy a notos for pest control. I used to rely heavily on my break barrel for getting the job done but looking for something with more accuracy and durability as I do pest control for a living on gulls, geese pigeons and in my own yard rats. I live in Canada and can't seem to find the notos on any of our sites but can get it in USA and go pick it up at the boarder store. I have my Pal so I don't think it will be a problem. Anyways I would eventually like to get a bottle conversion done as I honestly really like the look of it on the notos and wouldn't mind having extra shots in dealing with gulls. I can't PM yet so Firewalker if you can shoot me a message that would be awesome. I don't know if this type of mode is legal in Canada at all?. Who knows anymore as our country thinks anything that goes bang is scary danger and gets banned. Anyways I won't get into that as my feathers get ruffled.

FX  Help with FX Rifle Repairs....Desperate!

Hello all, I was wondering if anybody out there can help me out.

I own 7 FX Air Rifles. I am having problems with two of rifles at the present time.

One is FX Revolution and the other is a FX Monsoon. Both guns were just resealed by a gunsmith that I have used for a very long time.

When I got the rifles back:

The Monsoon is holding air, but it has a slow leak.

The Revolution is holding air, but it will only work in single shot mode, not the semi-auto mode.

My Gunsmith told me he can't resolve the problems. He even sent the Revolution to one of FX's Repairs Center and they sent it back without even looking at it. Stating they don't work on older FX rifles!

So right now, I have two very expensive paper weights.

I have contacted all three of the repair stations that FX has listed on their website and all three of them told me "THEY DON"T WORK ON OLDER FX GUNS".

My last resort was to contact FX in Sweeden and sent them a very lengthy email explaining my situation. I just received an email back from them with a list of trouble shooting options and diagram and parts lists which I already have.

That Doesn't Help! I am 80 years old and can no longer work on any of my rifles.

Does anyone know of any Repair Shop, Air gun Smith or Individual that can help me out?

Any information that you can send my way would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

Stu Gabriel (Mrgun)

🔴LIGHT Scopes! – Scope Specs Table

🔴LIGHT Scopes! – Over 100 in a Scope Specs Table 🔴

So, in another thread many were complaining how heavy their gun was. Or how nicely light it was after taking off most of the accessories that we have a penchant for piling them on.... 🤦🏼‍♂️

Sometimes the scope gets blamed for a heavy gun. Scopes surely can make the gun heavy. However, when you considered your gun purchase, did a weight difference of 5oz (150g) make a difference in your selection? Probably not. –
– Well, then it seems that after you didn't care much about 5oz when purchasing the gun, it shouldn't all of a sudden become such a huge issue when considering a scope for the gun. (And taking 5oz away from a gun design won't take much away from a gun, but take 5oz away from a scope, and you loose a whole range of features and benefits....)

In any case:
In trying to help all of us to select LIGHT scopes for our guns, I assembled a Scope Specs Table for LIGHT scopes.
"Light" depends very much on top end magnification, as it wouldn't be very fair to compare a 3-9x32 to a 6-24x50 scope.
So, the Scope Table is divided into 3 magnification sections. Each has their weight cut-off, as follows:

Section 1: 3-12x | 3-9x
Weight: 22.1oz = 625g or less
Section 2: 4-20x | 4-16x | 4-14x | 3-18x | 3-15x | 3-16x | 2-16x
Weight: 25.6oz = 726g or less
Section 3: 6-24x | 5-20x | and all over 20x top end magnification, with at least 6x or less on the bottom: 4-24x | 5-30x
Weight: 28.6oz = 811g or less

If these weight cut-offs are still too heavy for you, no prob. You can just quickly scan down the table column of the weight in order to find the scopes that conform to your weight cut-off.

And then you can compare all the relevant specs with other scopes you're interested in:
• Price and warranty type
• Length
• FoV
• Reticle type
• FFP or SFP
• Mil or Moa
• Tube size
• Max. elevation adjustment
• Illumination or not
• etc. etc. etc.

Cheers, and happy scope shopping!! 🤩

Matthias

This morning’s project

This morning’s project was to put my shooting bench firmly “in the ground” with concrete and still be removable.
This table is covered and is facing my 25/50 yard Bench Rest and FT dope range.
Goal was to get rid of the long tripod legs BEFORE I broke my arse 🥴 or toes again!
When I lift the table I have a flat plate insert that fills the 2.4” hole so its level and no longer a trip hazard.

N/A  Working on springers

So I'm getting back to springers, I guess more in depth with them and learning more about them. PCP guy for years and have no issues working on them. Have owned springers since a child but never worked on them. Springers are very different obviously. What do I need to learn about or ways in how to work on them? I hear everyone talk about tuning and but what does that mean exactly? Basically a large spring and piston right? I've had a HW30S for years and soon to have a Cometa Fenix 400 on Friday if UPS sticks to the program. I've seen word of spring compressors. Are they pretty universal meaning I can use one on both of my guns? Any advice or tools, threads to point me in the right direction to learn more would be great.

Very slow refill or creep?

Ok so this is on my impact mk2. When i fire the gun it will quickly refill back to 145 bar then stop. If I shoot again it will refill back to 145. But if I leave the gun alone and come back in a hour. It is now 155 bar. Idk if this is reg creep. Or just really slow refill. First I thought it is creep but then I think what if it's just a really slow refill. Cause it's not like I left the gun overnight. Does anyone have this issue where you fire your gun and it refill and stop at a certain pressure. But you come back after an hour and notice the needle have moved about 10 bars? Really annoying. If I shoot and it refill back to 145 bar. I want it to stay there when I come back. Anyone have any idea what I should be looking for. Like what part to replace?

A long absent_trying to be back

Hello everyone, I have had a long pause and had to stay away from playing with my FX Impact. All due to medical heart and diabetes issues to name a few. Anyway, I am hoping to get acquainted with the forum again and back to shooting my air-rifle. I have had a lot of fun here in the past interacting with all you fantastic members and moderators. Thanks for listening.

Beeman  Double left stamp beeman r1 serial numbers

Trying to figure out how many of these rifles were made with the double left side stamp, I have heard they are extremely rare, and the beeman museum only had 1 or 2 examples of them, my rifle is serial # 903682, all rifles will be 1981 only! please anybody with a double left stamp rifle post your serial #'s to help figure out how many were made initially, thanks!!!!

Other  Recommendations for a newie

"Hello guys 👋

I'm looking to buy my first PCP rifle. I live in Mexico, and it's quite challenging to find a good quality/price option.

After researching on this forum and YouTube, I found two promising choices, and I would love to hear your recommendations on which one to buy:

* Air Venturi Avenger X
* JTS Airacuda Max

I should mention that I'll be using the rifle mainly for plinking and target shooting.

Also, for each rifle, which scope would you recommend?

Thanks for your help! I really appreciate your advice

Moderator changes POI

My pcp is dead on target at 30 yards and groups great without the moferator. With the moderator, my pcp is dead on target at 30 yards and groups great. BUT removing or adding changes the POI by over 4 inches at only 30 yards. This makes no sense to me. A small change yes but 4 inches at 30 yards is extreme. I am wondering if anyone else has a big change and WHY is the movment so large. I would say is cliping or some way misaligned BUT it shoots just as good with or without the moverator BUT with a 4 inch difference.

FWB  FWB 124d

I just got in a FWB 124d that I took a chance on and bought from an ebay seller. It does have a few very minor stock dings , as expected on a 50 year old gun, judging by serial number 40xx, FWB confirmed it was made in 1975. It had a muzzle, barrel cover on which I did not care for, and taped it off with a brass punch, so no damage to blueing which is pristine. I installed a globe front and a Williams receiver sight and took it out and fired a couple of shots, Did not hit anything but my larger pellet trap. It is still misty off that hurricaine that just hit the Louisiana coast, so will probably set up a rest and target and see about getting it zeroed tomorrow. Seller said it had new seals and a Maccari kit installed. Sounds good and firing cycle is smooth. Stock does not look like most beech stocks I have seen, more like walnut, some very nice grain and figure. I spotted this one last Friday and was suprised that no one else bid on it. Seller took the metal out of the stock to ship, and really did a good job of packing it. Fitted a piece of pvc pipe to the receiver to cover the trigger, then reattached the trigger guard and made a small spacer where the wood screw fastens to stock, and zip tied that end, then fitted some stiff foam around that area and taped it shut tightly, then bubble wrap around the metal work, and stock with dense foam fillers in a box so nothing could move. Probably could have run over it with a car and not caused any damage.

Umarex  Notos, can i removed this peice.

I was looking at the notos and all the talks about it. But there is one thing I do not like and it's the bar or whatever you call it that connects from the hand grip to the stock. I am guessing it's for support? Can I remove it? Seem it's like a one peice attached to the stock and hand grip. I guess it could be saw off but how would that affect the look. Wish they release a newer version without it. Not sure why I don't see any youtubers reviews complain about it. I'm guessing its just me??
